In India's congested roads, new drivers should drive hatchback for atleast 5 years before moving to a big SUV. Else, big cars might turn into a pain instead of fun .. I can't find any logic behind buying a big car without proper understanding of vehicle and driving.

I have to agree here. I drove Alto first which is easiest to drive considering its compact dimensions.
Then moved to Ford Freestyle with almost no issues.
For a new driver, compact dimensions actually help.

I am boy using sis account,
I have a sedan and it's bumper is 1-2 inch away from the edge of hood so I have taken the idea that if the distended BTW the hood and other object is 1-2 inch so I need to stop,I have checked it physically after parking my car and my judgment is accurate.the distance left BTW car and object is of 1 finger.
