After seeing your inspirational demo, I am off to download Inkscape. I think I may have the confidence to use it now. Many thanks

Thanks Ashley beautiful card. The only thing I would do different, the reason being no matter what i do with rullers ot trimmers I never get anything truly square,( think I,ve got wonky eyesor something LoL!!) thats why i brought the snc, is after having drawn the flowers on the Snc i would have brought in a regtangle shape from the Snc at the size I needed then moved it around the drawn on piece of card to see where to place it then cut it.

What is Inkscape please and what do you use it for in the brother scan n cut?

+Carol Walters All my videos are in playlists, so if you look at the Inkscape one it may explain, but basically Scanncut canvas is the Brother free online software programme we can use to design our own cutting files, it can be a little limited so Inkscape is a free programme that is more powerful and versatile and as its available for both Mac and Windows everyone can use it.

please can you help i have the scan and cut , but the replacements are costing so much ,as crate and caft charge £2.99 per item, which means if you order 3 items (1 standard blade, 1 deep cut blade and a new mat ) it cost nearly £10.00 in p&p i feel this is a rip off, as the machines p&p was £2.99, the blades are the size of a darning needle and by royal mail would be no more than 1st class, i have complain and contacted bro and watchdog, as i feel is should be addressed. but can you supply me with another uk outlet for the items many thanks

As far as I know C&C still have the exclusivity, so not a lot we can do, until that changes I think.
If you buy more than 1 item with the same item number the P&P is just £2.99 i think, so in other words 2 or 3 blades etc would only be one P&P. what I've done is buy them when they have free P&P weekends and just store them my machine is a year old now and i am still using my original mat and blade and as you can see from my blog and YT channel i use it quite a lot.
