Yamaha RMAX | More Capable Then You Think

  • Two of my friends both purchased RMAXs this year and I have been really impressed with both the 4 and 2 seat machine. Both are approaching 1000 miles and by now they might be over that in less then a year. As you can see in the video they both have had the crap beat out of them. I am truly a Yamaha guy with my love for the Grizzly being shown with most of my videos. Yamaha really did make a tough machine in the RMAX. Other then a broken axle, ripped CV boots, and a coil wire falling off, Travis and Mike have had almost zero issues with both of their machines. If you have like the video please give it a thumbs up! And don't forget to subscribe to the channel if you haven't already! Thank you for watching!

    I know you are a Yamaha guy, but unbiased, how has reliability been? I’ve heard about transmission and engine failures. Any bad stuff? Also how easy is it to maintain and service. I’ve heard performance is great but I’m wondering about durability.
    Keep sending it out there!

    • @grizzlygreg8922
      @grizzlygreg8922  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Travis the guy with the four seater, did have a axle problem but thats it so far. We just did a 1400 mile CVT clutch cleaning and greasing and everything looked well. The rollers in the secondary had a little wear on them but thats to be expected after 1400 miles. Other then that Mike, the guy with the 2 seater, has overheating issues but he doesn't clean his machine well so when you look at his radiator it is always caked full. So with that said it has very good cooling! since he doesn't overheat all the time even with a caked full rad. Transmission failures were happening from what I heard it would happen with in the first 50 miles, after that you were good.

  • @mountain_man89
    @mountain_man89 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Who ever doubt the machine obviously isn't no true ATV rider/builder/mechanic. They focus on one brand and think there better than anyone else. I prefer Yamaha ppl over canam and Polaris a holes anyway. Why cause they don't care. No one's sitting around comparing there just riding. I love my rmax4 it goes everywhere the rest go. I proved that to loud mouths canam,Honda, Kawasaki and Polaris ppl.

      You are exactly right, I went and bought a Polaris Highlifter a few few years ago, wanted a purpose built mud machine but as I am getting a little older, just added a branch to the family tree, I’m going to be looking at the RMax 4 in e next few years for sure. Awesome trail rig, Travis put on some 31 Outlaw 1’s in this video and his Rmax4 handled them just fine, it will be on my radar for sure!! Plus being a grizzly owner since early 20s, I’m a Yamaha guy for sure!
