Wes wrote the movie off of a series of articles from the LA Times of Vietnamese refugees dying in their sleep. One kid fell asleep, his family put him to bed, and they heard him screaming. By the time they got to him he was gone. Anyway, he used to hide coffee pots in his room so that's where Wes got that from.

I ended up watching more of the behind the scenes and interviews after editing this video and hearing Wes telling that story was definitely chilling

What a fun time Ladies. I have watched all these films a couple of times. But I have seen 1,2,3, and New Nightmare 4 to 5 times. For me those are the only ones worth watching more than once. I just knew that you guys would have a laugh at Nancy pulling out the coffee maker from under the bed, that is for me one of the funniest things I have ever seen in film. I have to say that there are only three scary or horror movies that I watch every Halloween. "The Exorcist", "The Ring" the American version and "Nosferatu"(1922). Love the movies. Great work, and have a fun and safe Halloween.

Those are probably the ones I would rewatch the most as well. There's definitely lots of great laughs that are in this movie and I think it strengthens it even more especially for rewatching. You've got some great Halloween movie picks too! Thanks again for watching

I asked several of the actors in the movie during Monster cons, and the thing they told me is that the whole movie was just a nightmare. None of it happened. The movie was supposed to be a stand alone film. Its was a movie about kids dreaming about being killed in their dreams. And yes you can actually die in your dreams which would kill you in real life. When you are scared in your dream your aderelaine in real life is raised which in some cases could cause cardiac arrest. Here is a weird thing, nobody ever dies in their nightmare, the act of dying in your nightmare actually raises the aderlaine in your body and wakes you up.

Wow very cool to have been able to ask people who actually worked on the movie

I recommend Night of the Demons (1988). It takes place on Halloween and is super 80s fun. :)
