Hey, i'm a 30y/o who never invested before in my life, but from everything i read, i know the blockchain is here to stay, i dont see this technology going away anytime soon

Correct. It should be inflationary. Inflationary monetary policy has a dilutive effect.
Indeed, I agree. Bitcoin is deflationary because it is capped. Safemoon is not capped, just like Ripple. Well we know what inflationary assets do.... Just check the $ and see how much purchase power you lose over time. The problem is an inflationary currency motivates you to spend while a deflationary currency motivates you to save.
I think deflationary is the correct term. It means the value of the token keep decreasing until it reached zero.
Definition of deflationary: When the overall price level decreases so that inflation rate becomes negative
@@crypto-insights I agree there are issues with inflationary assets, although it's not that cut and dry. The problem with a deflationary asset with a fixed supply is that is encourages hoarding, it's not flexible when market conditions change, and it tends to be concentrated among the rich

Great video! I learned a few things new about leveraged lending. I think you made a mistake around 8:30 though.. you said the tokens such as UNI and CAKE are usually deflationary... but I think you meant to say inflationary. I too would like to hear about the "5th form" of yield farming.

@@WhiteboardCrypto If I had to guess for #5... my guess would be layered farming like Parthenon. I call them "flash-defis" because they explode and die within about a week.
Right on, they are called "Degen Yield Farms" in many places and are practically pyramid schemes where you only win if you get in early and aren't rugged :)
@@WhiteboardCrypto I've done 4 of them and profited on all 4. They are very time consuming and a lot of work, and in the end I stopped doing them because the required effort wasn't worth the payoff of a few hundred bucks. I watched so many people in the telegram group lose money. The only guaranteed winning strategy that I know of is heavily tipped in favor of the whales. It really shows how many people misunderstand the concept of inflation. I agree - for most players it's nothing more than a gambling game/pyramid scheme similar to the pump-n-dump parties on discord.

This was a great video! It awesome that you broke down the basics on how staking, yield farming etc, and that you explain the risks plainly. There are a lot of the Financial Guru's out there yet again selling people on what can be high risk investments, but they make it sound risk free. Knowing your position and risks isn't something they advertise. I would honestly love to see the 5th method you mentioned.
