This video has saved my life...I never considered using a bandana as a hair accessory for myself, but now I wear my hair like this whenever I'm too lazy to wash it or if I sleep through all my alarms and need a quick hair style :D

Emma, Have you ever had straight across bangs? I just got them last night, however already decided I want to grow them out :( do you have any suggestions to clipping bangs back while they're growing?
It looks really good with straight hair too. I wear it a lot in autumn time because bandana/scarf hides stray hairs (due to humidity). My hair is a bit longer so in oder to make this hairstyle work, I pull hair in the semi-high ponytail, twist downwords and then upwords. :)
for this look I found if your hair is thick and the bangs end up too far you can make a low ponytail and then split your hair above the band and pull the pony tail through it makes it a bit shorter, if you want you can do it twice, it shortens it up nicely.

If you're wanting them cut just like mine it's probably easier to just take a screen grab and show her. I used to be a hairdresser, and it's a lot easier to do a cut if the client shows you what they want rather than them trying to explain it. ^_^
