Sound of Music - Liz Harvey soprano, Kate Rubadue pianist

A Lexington NC native, Liz Harvey is a 2005 vocal performance graduate of UNC-Greensboro. She studied classical voice study with Levone Tobin-Scott. Liz’s passion for opera is rivaled by her youthful zest and stage presence. No stranger to the stage, her resume includes performances in Opera houses in NC and with a traveling company designed for youth operatic introduction. In 2013, Ms Harvey moved from NC to VA and has entertained audiences over the years performing at numerous military ceremonies at the Pentagon and Women’s Military Memorial, as well as a soloist at various churches.
Kate, Katherine Rubadue, has played the piano since age five and is classically trained. She is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in electrical & computer engineering. Kate worked at Hughes Aircraft as a test/software engineer and in microchip technology for 28 years. She is now retired and enjoys sharing her gift of music to bring joy to others playing for her church, special events, hospitals, and senior centers.
