Another great looking and running Locomotive from Hornby. I like the colour very much. I do have a B12 in Blue and yes, I know it was never in that colour, but it goes very well with my green and black ones. Martin. (Dhaka, Bangladesh.)
That BR blue is gorgeous imo.
I really want a model of a Duchess in BR blue, I have fond memories from watching Jimmy the Jinty here on TH-cam. Great review Ms. Kirk.
Hi Jennifer, I just came across your channel and I think your reviews are fabulous! I find you most knowledgeable and entertaining. I will look forward to future reviews. Thank you.
Beautiful, will have to start saving up!
So we up at 1am,can't sleep but love trains.
I'm a recent subscriber and I would like to say I have been enjoying your locomotive reviews. I model German railways (1928-1940) in HO, but have been sorely tempted by some of the locomotives that you have reviewed - in fact I would certainly have bought several had they been offered in the 'proper' scale of HO ;)
I am rather impressed by Hornby's decision to have the trailing bogie truck fixed to the chassis - it certainly looks much better, but it does rather highlight the conflicting requirements of different customers: on one hand scale modellers for who accuracy is everything - hand laid track with only prototypical radii curves; and on the other hand enthusiasts for who accuracy has less importance and who just want to be able to run their models regardless of the limitations imposed by their layouts. Perhaps you could talk about this.
Great to see this loco in BR blue for a change! Its not a common livery as they didn’t use this livery for very long so it is commendable of them to utilise it.
It is such a nice model and a great review by you Jenny
Sadly I only recently bought the streamlined coronation and have a Princess Royal on order plus a fair few of the Hornby 2020 range.
I might have to wait a year or so and try and pick up a used Duchess.
It's a good place to be in, having so many nice models available at one time.
Cheers
Wow this locomotive is impressive at a good price as well.
Great looking loco I have an n gauge one in blue
the GF one is a nice loco.
Nice model of the loco in its 'semi' form
438 mm radius curves to be precise
