There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who have discovered Air Frying, and those who haven't. I feel bad for the latter. Great video - I'll try it with Sweet Italian Sausage. I love my Ninja Foodi Grill!!!
I don't eat meat but tried this for my Husband and Father in Law. Received no comment on the food after slaving and preparing this with chronic daily pain and fatigue 🤔🤨🙄 I made a batch of Zataran's dirty rice and put some of the grilled peppers and onions on it as a topper. Next time I will try with Brats as I just had a Jalapeño link sausage from Slovak's in West, Texas. My Ninja Foodie isn't like yours Mikey @MikeyGoode so I guess my model isn't the XL. I cut up way too many peppers and onions and couldn't close the top after putting them on the bottom of the Foodie Grill so had to do 2 separate grillings on that and the 1st ones got more of the sausage drippings. Thank you for this video! I had lost my Ninja Food Grill Instruction booklet and recipes that came with it when I bought it for my Husband so this was very helpful to me to prepare at the last minute. I just found you last night so will follow and check out your other recipes for my Husband and FIL. Thanks again! ......Jill from Central TX
This is the best sausage recipe I've tried. I love cooking the vegetables under the grill. Its a little more work but we'll worth it. The juice in the veggies is fantastic. Great tip for cutting the peppers. Thanks Chris.
Wow. I've been researching Ninja Foodie Smart XL recipes for my new grill and you are the first person I have seen recommend using two-tiered cooking. Great idea! I am going to try this recipe in 3..2..1. Thanks so much!
I'm definitely trying this!!! Just got a ninja foodie xl grill the only difference is I can't put the onions and peppers below the sausage and the dripping goes down into a pocket not the the holes
Wow cooking under grill plate really slick idea 💡 going to try it I've done mine in ninja foodi xl steam and crisp one lid which works great but want to your way since I have a foodi grill thxs again yours looks so very good 👍
I really admire your 2 zone cooking method. Veggies on the bottom, and sausage grilling on top. I am making this today! Thanks for your inspired video! Food looks amazing! Cheers 🍻
Oh my, Mikey...That looks so good. I am getting hungry. Especially so because, right now, there are Mississippi Chicken Thighs cooking in the crock pot. Yum...Sharon from Tennessee
Have you tried Dry Sausage? It’s delicious! I don’t know if you have a Food Lion there but that’s the only place I can find them. It’s made by Bass Farms. Awesome! That also looked delicious!
You mentioned Cris got new knives for the camper, but they don't seem to match the knives in your Amazon recommendations linked above. If you have time can you tell me the brand knife that you were using in this video. Thanks!! Also that looked so yummy - but I am a ketchup kind of girl. LOL

I'd never even though about using both the grill and tray at the same time! It seems so obvious now 😂
