  • This is a short edit video from last year around this time of year or maybe in 4 weeks or so time, lawns in better condition than this year, have a lot to do, but this is a nice memory of what I can get my lawn to be like, even if I just care for it every now and then.
    Enjoy.

    🌝 WHO AM I
I'm Phil and I started All Gardening on 19th April 2004. I started looking after lawns because I thought they were simple, but I soon realised simple is very different to easy. I now look after many lawns and help many others to look after their lawns too, and I write a weekly email newsletter that contains some quick thoughts + links to interesting things www.allgardeni...

P.S. When you do something simple for a long time you become very knowledgeable, you go deeper the more you look at things simply. It always surprises me how much there is to learn about caring for a lawn when you get-started.

Hi Phil. Have you measured you HoC on the mower? That cut grass does not look like 21mm,.
I put my Hayter (not pro) on a flat surface and used a block of wood to strike the blade at each height setting (spark plug removed) which gave me the measurement. I was surprised it did not go up in equal increments . Mine is 1 - 19mm, 2 - 26mm, 3 - 32mm, 4 - 40mm, 5 - 50mm, 6 - 58mm, 7 - 65mm. I know yours will be different but it is worth checking so that you know the actual height.
I have an Allett and if I mow at 21mm it would be much shorter than your grass there.
Also... it is Baren Brug, not Berg. Thanks for all the videos... been watching with interest. 😁👍🏼

Yes your probably right, the cut heights do vary I’d say a fair bit.
And yes worth a check, monthly I calibrate my spreader, mower a good thought.
And yes, always pronounce that wrong, can you do a video on it!
      Thanks for dropping in.

Cheers for the video, but yes I can 100% say that's not 21mm, probably closer to 30mm+

You’re not the first to mention it. I’m going to test the cut height with a ruler and see what’s what. Will report back!
