Reynor is an absolute chad. He grinds hard enough to win one or more of the biggest tournaments of the year of a relatively obscure game with the highest difficulty:prize pool ratio around. He is thus able to acquire an upper middle class salary for a few months work and spends the rest of the year as a 21 year old man of leisure and means, goofing around with his friends or doing whatever else he feels like. Absolutely gigachad lifestyle, this is why I have to root for him every tournament and I hope he is able to keep it up
Yeah, Starcraft 2 pro's are all genuinely really chill and cool people from what I have seen of interviews and youtube content. I do think there *can* be less leisure than you think, but at the end kf the day, most of them only grind full-throttle for 3-4 tournaments a year and just chill to play the smaller ones
loving the protoss move by Reynor....as a new follower of sc2 tournament, it seems like protoss is being left out, only seen showtime and maxpax playing them😮, glad to see Protoss getting some love
If one trully want to know where protosses were 2-3 years ago, instead of trusting the first wonderer telling "they were e v e r y w h e r e" without any observable ground, one can open Liquipedia -> Starcraft 2 -> Premier Tournaments, scroll down and count how many premier events protosses won during 2021 and 2020. Don't worry, you'll need just one hand for both years. But you gonna need glasses to find a protoss icon.
Hi Pig, I have a question. On youtube we can always see how long a video is even before starting watching it. This kind of spoils the game before it ends because depending on how much time is left you know that there wont be time for another round. Would it be possible to simply make every video the same length, like 120 minutes or so, and just fill up the remaining time with whatever? Maybe a still image with your streaming schedule or something else that benefits you? I dont know if this would be possible but it would definitely benefit the viewers on youtube. All the best!
hurts the algorithm pretty hard to have people tuning out of your videos early consistently unfortunately, wish TH-cam had a built in feature where people could hide the video length
That was a long game. Your logic of abandoning the north base, and securing the bottom mineral patches is bang on. A complete retreat... he never sent in his ultralisk army to sandwich the mini army.. which woud of made sense, since he keeps getting reset, if he pushed his army into it aggressivly and from teh north, had a few infesters hidden. back.. always. It wold of made more sense.. sure his broods owuld be chased down, but they have gotten tehir value... and then he can defend, and take those bases, but commiting to larger losses against reynor... It was interesting. he had drones just sitting around up north shoudl of bee brougth down withte defence... I would of pushed the carreirs out.. Sometiems its good to kill your corruptors in diving on the carreirs, jsut so you can secure the area.... It seemed uncharateristic of him... macro wise... and less decisive to choosing a base... Ling run bys and attacks jsut stopped against reynor... and he didn't really put forth a good neough measure ot force protoss into a terrible position. Should he have tapped there... A coutner attack makes no sense.. late game, when there is lots of resoruce sand your army can zero out one side.. so yeah him moving out was a bit of mistake... if that army came down south.. and cleaned up the retreating army.. the gold is secure, but I think he shoudl of really concentrated on the air... He did lose a few nydus's pretty fun game.
Interesting how much more Reynor prefers late game with his protoss than his zerg. Especially when most other top toss players have been strongest in the mid-game

AS zerg. if I see collusus... its like vikings.. corruptors are so good to have like 10 or something.. they are so tanky..., which forces out more stalkers.. which are chew toys.. and yeah.... ten corruptors can kill a nexus super fast... its almsot better than swarm hosts. IF swarmhosts had their abiltiy ot shoot air upgrade, I would put them on part. The dps of Swarm hosts... is madness... but corruptors peeing on key buidlings isn't somethign to laugh at and their speed is superb... WHich is interesting since 20 supply is 10.. but oftne over producing corruptors can turn itn oa loss, but probably becasue its not used as liek it shoudl be... if you produce, 40 corruptors.. which I have seen... Just do a mass eco attack, to delay that mining nad head back out... shoudl be fine. lol
Yup, it is his main race... shows you how good he is that he is able to win with Protoss against Serral who has a 90% winrate against this race (which is normally played by fulltime Protoss players).
