After watching Multiverse of Madness, this episode just becomes more depressing. Christine dying isn't just a fixed point in time, its a part of the constant throughout the Multiverse. A constant where, whatever universe it is,Strange can never get Christine.
She doesn't die in every universe though, but in order for Strange to reach his full potential (lose his hands, defeat Dormammu, become Sorcerer Supreme) in each Universe that he is in, he can never be with her
Infinite universes means theirs a guarantee at least one where he gets them. I mean in multiverse of madness we see that another universe Wanda does have kids
This is also explains a plothole in a way from the first dr strange movie of why kaecillius never used the time stone to get his family back as he probably went through what strange did, them endlessly dying over and over again and forced him to go to dormammu and the dark dimesnion, instead of using soul stone or reversing an absolute point

After seeing Across the Spiderverse, I think there are 3 types of fixed points in time/canon events: 1) Events that are supposed to happen are changed, but have little to no effect on their universe (Miles from Earth 42 not becoming Spider-Man, Mayday being born, Spider-Noir’s rubix cube, etc.) 2) Canon events that are easily changed and immediately cause the collapse of the universe (the universe that Miguel destroyed, Kingpin almost destroying his universe to bring his family back) 3) Fixed points of time that refuse to change and will keep repeating unless extra power is used to force change (Christine’s death) Turns out Lyla wasn’t so smart about predicting the rules of the multiverse
This Episode was both good and depressing because if we all had the time stone we'd all do that. Trying to revive the person you love but realizing that it cannot be changed. Honestly gives alot of final destination vibes were no matter how hard you try. You can't escape fate. It always wins and there's nothing you can do to change fate. This episode shows how Doctor strange is put into a Scenario were he can't let go of the past. Main continuity doctor strange has moved on. And forgets the things that happen in the past. But the main thing about this episode it really dwells into Doctor strange psyche shows that what he can be if he actually turned evil. And how strong he can Get. That's why doctor strange is a threat to Reality. He is arrogant. And cocky at times but he does try to make up for the things he's doing. Like how he fixed the situation in No way home with Peter.

which is why the concept of branched timelines is so interesting to me. You don't actually travel back in time but to a different timeline, how you influence the outcome will become the new future of that timeline, not your sacred timeline.

If that was me I'd just Groundhog Day it. You might never be able to save her, you can't make it past that day, but you can spend every day of the rest of eternity with her before she dies. In fact, it's better because he can just go back a week or a year if he wants, nothings keeping him in this one day this is just the point he has to reset.

I want it to be like Miguel's theory of disrupting the canon can actually affect and destroy an entire universe but in a way, Miles figured a way to save his dad as it's proven that canons can be broken without having the universe destroyed (him not being supposed to be Spider-Man, Gwen's dad quitting the position of Captain, E-42 Miles becoming the Prowler). Plus, I'm really tired of Spider-Man getting an ending where things went good for others but him. We have Andrew Spider-Man saving New York but at the cost of losing Gwen and Harry becoming the Goblin. Tom Holland saving his universe but at the cost of his existence fading from everyone's memory and Peter B. Parker ending up losing Aunt May and divorcing MJ in his universe (although Miles did helped him get the courage to fix their relationship during the Spiderverse event).

Their is a big difference: Not only Strange supreme is much more powerful than Sinister strange but also he accepted that he was at fault while talking to watcher. This episode really speaks to me. My father died in 2013. I've had a really rough time trying to get through that trauma. I Spent alot of nights wishing there was something I could do to bring him back, But This episode makes me change my mind. I can't change the past because it might cause a cataclysmic mistake like this one. I have to learn to live with it.

If the purpose of her dying is to make Strange learn the Mystic Rats, why can't he just go back and learn them before Christine dies? He does have his memories from the future after all... That way she would have no need to die
I'm more intrigued with why it causes a paradox, so I think there're 2 means of time travel 1. Like in Endgame, you physically go back in time and therefore 2 of you exist simutaneously and actions you make would create braches (new realities) and not paradox, because that timeline was tampered by an outside force which is you 2. Here we see Strange transfer his consciounsness to his older (or should I say younger) body, only his knowledge is new, so if the point of Christine dying was to set him on the path of Mystic Arts, then you might think that he can do both by learning magic and still save her at the same time. But since he still exist in the same timeline(might be because he used the time stone which may only control time in the same time stream), there must still be events that leads to the moment that he travel back to save her instead of creating another branch
Can you imagine me going back in time to try to save Jason David Frank's life, preventing him from commiting suicide. That would be really difficult to do that
God this whole sequence broke me. The music, Benedict's voice, the freaking visuals of Stephen trying so hard and having to watch his love die over and over. He even tried to take the worst of the hit himself by making her drive. What would that have led to? He could've died instead of her and that would mean he never lived to become the Sorcerer Supreme. But he didn't care. Poor guy. If only he knew that he wasn't supposed to end up with Christine in any universe, anyhow. He would've found a better and a much more compatible partner in Clea.
Keep in mind this is the guy that endured the physical pain of dying the most horrendous deaths imaginable over and over and over until Dormammu, a demon that LOVES killing things, pretty much just got bored and wanted to do something else. Some people speculate that he was in that loop with Dormammu for years, decades, centuries maybe even. Who knows how many different attempts he tried before his will broke.
Because that wasn’t an absolute point in time. In this universe it is for Dr Strange, as he has to lose Christine in order to find the way of the mystical arts.

They could have just had Strange Supreme's divergence be that of the injury/Christine dying,
Instead of "our" Strange's origins being retconned.

This episode really speaks to me. My father died in 2013. I've had a really rough time trying to get through that trauma. I Spent alot of nights wishing there was something I could do to bring him back, But This episode makes me change my mind. I can't change the past because it might cause a cataclysmic mistake like this one. I have to learn to live with it.

Pretty much a modern re-telling of "The time machine". No matter how many times he go back, he can never save his love. A classic trope. Well told here.
If the purpose of her dying is to make Strange learn the Mystic Rats, why can't he just go back and learn them before Christine dies? He does have his memories from the future after all...

I'm more intrigued with why it causes a paradox, so I think there're 2 means of time travel
1. Like in Endgame, you physically go back in time and therefore 2 of you exist simutaneously and actions you make would create braches (new realities) and not paradox, because that timeline was tampered by an outside force which is you
2. Here we see Strange transfer his consciounsness to his older (or should I say younger) body, only his knowledge is new, so if the point of Christine dying was to set him on the path of Mystic Arts, then you might think that he can do both by learning magic and still save her at the same time. But since he still exist in the same timeline(might be because he used the time stone which may only control time in the same time stream), there must still be events that leads to the moment that he travel back to save her instead of creating another branch

Can you imagine me going back in time to try to save Jason David Frank's life, preventing him from commiting suicide. That would be really difficult to do that
God this whole sequence broke me. The music, Benedict's voice, the freaking visuals of Stephen trying so hard and having to watch his love die over and over. He even tried to take the worst of the hit himself by making her drive. What would that have led to? He could've died instead of her and that would mean he never lived to become the Sorcerer Supreme. But he didn't care.
Poor guy. If only he knew that he wasn't supposed to end up with Christine in any universe, anyhow. He would've found a better and a much more compatible partner in Clea.

Keep in mind this is the guy that endured the physical pain of dying the most horrendous deaths imaginable over and over and over until Dormammu, a demon that LOVES killing things, pretty much just got bored and wanted to do something else. Some people speculate that he was in that loop with Dormammu for years, decades, centuries maybe even. Who knows how many different attempts he tried before his will broke.
Strange Supreme should have just tried to "rain check" on his date, for another day 😒

Right now the reality is erased so everyone's souls are also erased including Christine's so there's no way he could revive her because he's basically the only thing that remains in that reality.
