This was WONDERFUL!!! We've made it twice. The first time we used rice cake that came thin sliced like chips. They were great and we watched them carefully so they did not get over 320. The second time we used rice cake like you did in your recipe. We watched the rice cakes carefully. The grease was at 310 and suddenly one popped. Then another. CAUTION, this is NOT something you want to happen. The kitchen will never be the same. Fortunately no one got burned because we covered the pan with the lid and turned off the heat immediately. The pot sounded like mega pop corn being popped. It rattled the cast iron lid! The taste was excellent, you just need to follow her warning. DO NOT let the rice cakes get too hot for too long. We will definitely make it again. This is a wonderful recipe!

Queen Supreme Hello^^ They really have no taste at all, much like plain white rice, but their texture is great! Unfortunately, theres no way to tell thay they're done when you fry them, but I literally would only leave then in for a very short period of time. Like 20 seconds (they were done at this time in the oil, for me.) If you leave them in too long (which I did at first) They do pop like popcorn, pop out the oil- its scary and hot oil splashes everywhere. I burned my hand pretty badly. XD Not sure I will do that ever again.

This was the most amazing chicken I’ve ever made! It really worked out great. Husband wants me to make it again next week. Thank you for this video!

I just made this, it's been sitting in my door playlist for months and I finally got to do it and WOW IS IT GOOD! I had cup chicken on a college trip last year and I fell in love but we dont have a store anywhere nearby with the dish. I found this and was weary but it was almost exactly the same! Now I didn't have a sake and didnt want to go get any so I used rice vinegar and some sugar and it worked very well! But just a splash of vinegar! Thank you so much for this recepie! ❤
