Hello! I’ve had a ton of fun with the Spectravox so far. If you want to see an Ambient jam in action using the Spectravox in drone mode AND in vocoder mode using Meems vocals (my wife), then checkout this video on our music channel: th-cam.com/video/Em0OwBuTIDI/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching ❤ If you're planning on scooping the Spectravox at some point, using my affiliate links is a great way to support the channel even further 🙏
Just found your channel in my feed. Thank You. Finally, someone who gets it. Just demo it like you did - patch the Matriarch into the spectravox and use it has a fixed filter bank. I have gone thru 6 videos of this thing so far... and wow... its depressing how clueless some presenters are.
Thanks for the great video as always! I bought myself a Matriarch for the New Year and unfortunately the box says it's already assembled in Taiwan and this is noticeable by the uneven placement of the buttons and I was also upset by the lack of paper instructions
Really looking forward to getting one of these, I have the 3 other Moog semis, plus a Grandmother and Matriarch, and some Moogerfoogers, but what Im really looking forward to patching it to is the MF102 and 103. Especially the Phaser, that is one of my favorite piece of Moog gear as well as the DFAM.
Yeah I'd imagine with the InMusic purchase they have more units they can send out for marketing now. In retrospect I probably should've waited a day or two to post my video 😜
@@teftymusictechI mentally block out launch day videos and come back later when the fuss dies down. You always do something interesting and real-world with gear rather than dragging us through the feature list. I like to figure out if I'm interested before investing time in watching the Loopop video.
Appreciate that you did some homework on where the piece is actually built under the new owners. A rather important detail that I haven’t seen discussed in other reviews. Too bad that what can only be assumed is a significantly reduced cost in manufacturing isn’t reflected in the price of this piece. Regardless, it sounds great. Thanks.
Thank you! I figured there'd be interest in those details. Apparently the faders were more costly originally, so switching to the knobs lowered the cost, but adding the VCA CV's and Env Follower band jacks basically brought the cost backup to where the faders were before.
Thank you so much for this video. I got it today and was starting to feel it’s just a marimba machine. As well seems most of the reviewers just did the patch map and that’s it.
Actually Subharmonicon has MIDI in (TRS-type A). The implementation is kind of weird. I'm thinking there might be some interesting synergies with Subharmonicon and Spectravox in filterbank mode.
Great catch! I don't own any of the other 60hp Moog semi-modulars so I couldn't compare first hand, I just looked at pics online. Honestly a TRS style Midi in would've been perfect for additional utility on the Spectravox.
the envelope when vocoding using an external carrier sounds so choked and honky on all the demos i've seen whether it's vocoding voice or drums. very disappointing from what i can make out compared to something like a roland svc 350
Many folks got probably fooled in this video thinking that many sounds were coming from the Spectravox but it's actually the Matriarch that is generating them ALONE, I have that incredible synth and I can assure you that the Spectravox os nothing compared to it
Thanks to the Matriarch actually, I can make that sound only on it without using anything, many folks got probably fooled in this video thinking that many sounds were coming from the Spectravox but it's actually the Matriarch that is generating them ALONE

Absolutely GREAT video. As a fan and owner of other Moog gear, including the Matriarch, I appreciate how you paired this with it in the demo
Nice demo. It’s really good to see\hear it in action and context to get a sense how one would actually use it in music production. Thank you 😊
Glad you liked it!
Damn you!
I'm sold. I need one of these!
My apologies! 😜
Thanks!
Thank you for the support! ❤️
Love your channel man.
Thank you! ❤️🙏
Wow it sounds amazing with the Matriarch
So far it's my favorite combo. I feel like it just amplifies that iconic 'Moog' sound 🙌
When I saw this my first thought was “this would pair great with a Matriarch!”

10 seconds in and im already subscribed

Nice! This box definitely gives me GAS for the Mother32 and DFAM.
Based on my TH-cam notifications, I'm starting to feel like I'm the *only* person who didn't get sent one from Moog. 🤣

Well, as of this morning, my notifications are blown up by the Polybrute 12, lol.

Does this pair well with the dfam ?
Best launch day vid! good job.
Thank you!

Be thankful they didn't raise the price. LOL
Awesome man instant buy for me!
If you're into spectral effects, it's fantastic 🙌
Great demo :)
Thank you!

22:49 actually the harmonicon has midi as well ;)
Great video 👍. This could be the first Moog to get me to open my wallet.

@@teftymusictech don't worry, the Behringer version will have MIDI in 😉
All kidding aside, I'm definitely thinking about adding this to my Moog stack.

Ahh, thought as much. Leakage of audio frequencies through the envelope followers.
Which is why it sounds dead rough.

How to turn every synth into a Moog!!! 💯👍
Haha yup!
that riff around 5:00 was FILTHY

great video but we can not undestand verry well what you re doing...
inMoog, hard pass.
