Murad did have a half brother called Bayezid and he did have him killed .They were six months apart but his mother was dead when Murad was the sultán and it's believed his mother was the same as Osmán. I think that here as they wanted to invent him a mother they gave the fictional character the same name as Sultan's Bayezid mother.Also historically Its not clear if Shezade Bayezid tried to take the throne or not or if he was closed to Murad or not.

And they were real people at this time. And they both contributed to society. Evliya wrote books, Hezarfen really did fly across the Bosporus. I love their camaraderie. The only pleasantness in this series.
The casting for Gulbahar is spot on, I just found her in Episode 21 around the 25-minute mark, when all of them are gathered for the Eid festival picnic lunch.

In this series Bayezid's mom is Gulbahar Sultan, one of Ahmed's concubine.
In history bayezid real mother is mahfiruze. This is not reall happened some. gulbahar is not real. Some children of sultan ahmet mother are not recorded.
