This is a mystical time between December and January, particularly in Finland where the sun barely rises..(.if there is sun for) a few hours a day. The time of year is called Kaamos in Finnish. We show our appreciation of the season to our fellow neighbors by adding Christmas lights and candles inside and outside of our homes.

Because of you I have painted three things black in my house: my fireplace wall was first, second was the guest bath on the main floor, last one painted black was my Butler’s Pantry. I love them. My butlers pantry has upper cabinets with reed glass in the doors and then bottom solid wood cabinets. They are stained dark which I hated before but now with the black walls they look amazing.

I am so so so interested in your ideas of taking Christmas decor into Winter mode!!! I live in South Dakota…. Winter is long…greenery is covered and leaves have fallen long ago. I try and leave some stuff out…but I want to do it in a classy way now since finding your TH-cam’s (which I absolutely adore)….
