Thank you for this. Seems like barebow plunger videos are unheard of. This vid is like your center shot.. gold.

Thank you for the info, Grayson. I enjoy watching you compete, of course, but this concise data is so helpful in learning the ropes for everyone.

This is really good information. Regarding movements of plunger position, I usually say "out" if I'm turning the plunger counter-clockwise, moving the button to the right (right handed archer here).
Here, you're moving your plunger left one full turn first, then right?

What’s your average nock height? Where the bottom of the top nocking point sits.

Now that's really interesting. It would be great to know if other archers of your ability find the same or if it is individual to a articular style. I now need to get out in the back garden (sorry yard) and play. Many thanks for posting it. There is way less good barebow material out there compared to Olympic or Compound.

Great vid. How do you determine what size spring to use in your plunger? I have a beiter plunger and have the medium spring in and I'm shotting 36lb uukha limbs on Exceed riser. My arrows are slightly stiff and my Fleched and bareshafts are hitting left of where I'm aiming at. So Should I get a weaker spine arrow or should I use a weaker spring, or move my center shot in?

Looks like a fairly small crawl at a close distance. What poundage limbs are those?

I was thinking the same thing. He might be running heavy arrows tuned for shooting at 20 yards, perhaps.

This video is really useful for the information you're providing, but I have to say - after spending much much much time trying to get my bow and arrows working well together - the shooting you're doing here is really superlative. If I could shoot that well, tuning wouldn't take months and months. By the time I finally get the arrow to the right length and point weight, the manufacturer has discontinued the shafts or something

Do you mind me asking when you say you start from centreshot, that your arrow is physically at centreshot (eg in line with the string when viewed from the rear) or that your point on aim is hitting the gold, but your arrow is adjusted left or right slightly for best tune? Sorry for the long question.

Cheers mate - although for some reason I’m on a medium beiter and don’t see a difference from hard to soft... so confusing, would this mean that it’s set SO far out that it’s already past the point where it would make a difference? (42lbs @ 28 inch draw length)

You are probably only going 2 clicks harder and softer, in the video I think he said 2 turns of the plunger which would be 20 clicks each way.

      Might be an inferior riser.
