You will destroys lane vs almost all ranged match ups in wild rift. As long as they don’t have shields and heals, AP malphite will slowly eat away at their health and then 1 shot them with his ultimate

Important runes:
1st rune: Aery (optional:Electrocute)
2nd rune: Scorch-always
3rd rune: Your preference
4th rune: Manaflow Band-always
AP build: Ludens - Infinity orb - Void staff - deathcap - Lichbane
AP into tank:
Ludens - and then depends on enemy team damage. Choose from: Iceborn , Thornmail , Abysall mask , Frozen heart , Force of nature , Randuins.
My default build: Ludens - Iceborn - Abysall mask, Thirnmail, Frozen heart - เกม

@@TheWalletSource I strongly disagree, it's just a hard champ to play in teamfights, not noob friendly, + helps to use your brain. You can Perma zone out an ad or any ranged carry. And pyke's ult can be godly at the end of a fight
@@hazeb.5110 yeah , the ulti just threaten any champ with half bar or lower since it true damage, the enemy team can't afford to all in especially when contest for drake or baron + pyke have skill for combat opener. But pyke simply hard to master

Btw Iv'be been destroying people in the new duel mode with malphite, not only the poke is unfair but the builds ara so flexible you can itemize against anything your opponent plays, from ludens to reflector to thornmail, to vanshee's. Also champion rune in duel makes the most sense bc if you die you lose anyways.
I haven’t played the 1v1 mode yet but I can imagine malphite being overpowered vs most champions. As long as they don’t have too many heals/shields to block his poke. For example someone like riven would be hard to poke down.
Also, the Champion rune makes sense but I still think scorch is the best early game rune. It does 17 damage at level 1 and increases from there. So after the first minute in lane, you should be able to scorch them 5 times which is about 100 damage overall. To get that much extra damage from champion, you would need to deal 1250 damage overall because 8% of 1250 is 100 which is hard to get because malphite doesn’t have that much sustain damage. A part of his power also comes from not fighting between pokes to recharge the shield

Just here, looking how to counter Gwen and suddenly it suggested this. I actually use this build to Malph and it helped me to climb up to diamond coz it worked so well I even use this to tanky champion. But they release Gwen thats why I'm here looking how to counter Gwen.

I think when people ask how to play AGAISNT a ranged matchup, they’re actually talking about malphite lol he just pokes and runs lol
You’re right. But he does counters every other ranged champion. To counter malph all you need is a champion with a shield or heal. Or a champ that can push minion waves fast
@@striderwildrift what champions are good against malphite? Garen is pretty good I think but it will be hard to kill malphite in the lane.
Nasus is a great counter to malphite. He survives the early levels with his sustain and then easily out scales him

Im trying ap malphite even against melee champions like Fiora or Sett. And dude the poke Is insane. Just poke them down and then all in when they are low enough. He even takes turrets fast without the demolish rune. Great champion
Yh the AP playstyle received 2 buffs since I made the guide so I can imagine it working against even more champions
Man, I tried for the first time Malphite against a Fiora and oh boy, she got demolished from start to finish even if she's not ranged or particularly squishy ahah

Yh the builds are different know which is why I try to not talk too much about the build or runes because they’re always being updated. For example aery is no longer required because scorch got buffed twice after this video. Now you can go electrocute for more burst

I've been using this with, but with Electrocute and Second Wind. Electrocute gives u that nice burst of damage if they go in for trade, or if u wanna engage after a Q slow. And Second Wind Vs a Ranged matchup is just the cheery on top. The same thing works Top, Mid and as a Sup. Not to mention he proc's the Sickle Sup item easily with Q. Q+Scorch every 8 seconds, Manaflow to help with Mana and you're set.
I now also go electrocute after scorch received 2 buffs since I made this guide
@@striderwildrift Yeah, Aeri is just a worse Sorch in terms of poke, and Electrocute can secure the kill with its 180 magic damage +25% AP scaling.

It won’t work Vs anyone with heals, shield, or tanking abilities
I love malphite. He is just an easy win. You can go tanky or ap or mixed, so he is highly adaptable, easy to play and in late game can win teamfightd with a single ult. He is also the single most annoying champ to lane against in my opinion.
This method works with most champion, I always do this even when the enemy is not an AP champion. The only AD champion that you need to be careful of is tyndamir.

I always play malphite against katarina, akali, all those anonying champs that do a lot of damage. The other day I was playing twisted fate against malphite (mid lane) and now I know that he counters me pretty bad. When I wanted to come close he used his q and then fall back. So I just had to play safe and avoid getting to close to him.

Absolutely. Since I made the guide, the rune scorch has been buffed twice so the laning phase is even stronger. However the bone plating rune has also been buffed and it’s pretty decent into it
