I always keep my sims' graves in a graveyard (community lot). The first chance I get, I move any and all graves to a graveyard in the neighborhood. Outright deleting them causes neighborhood corruption, from what I heard. Plus, another reason why I do this is because sims can die of fright when scared by a ghost. So taking precautionary measures is a must for me.
RE: Community lots, a lot of gas stations have a fast food restaurant attached to them so that might be one option (even though you said you already have the gas station built). If Strangetown was at a junction of major roads I could see having a larger truck stop facility there, but it really does seem to be the kind of little "wide spot in the road" town where you'd be lucky to have an old, dilapidated gas station let alone anything else of note.
Oh yeah, that does sound like a nice idea, I'll definitely try to make the restaurant look attached to the gas station, as it is luckily just neighborhood deco hehe
@@CozyPixels If the gas station is just neighborhood deco then that certainly makes it a lot easier to add it on! If the gas station had been a community lot instead, I could also have seen adding a little section for one of those all-in-one restaurant/diner objects because I have stopped in some gas stations where the attached restaurant was basically a deli counter with a few tables and chairs.
@@VagabondPink Yeah those service stations with the gas station + garage bay for vehicle repairs used to be super common, and I add them to a lot of my neighborhoods for flavor. In the real world you see a lot of abandoned ones now, all boarded up and closed. 😢
@@TyrelLohr Yeah, I looked up references of some gas station in the desert, and it really gives me some vibes where it like used to be a place to gather and chat in some kind of 50s setting but it's been abandoned and quite grainy.
It turned out so pretty! It's very different but I like that. I think you managed to keep the uncanny vibe even though it looks a lot more like an inhabitable, modern house. I looove the roofed patio ❤ And you know what? No blue and yellow!!! I'm so proud of you 😉 Really nice building video and, as always, I really appreciate the fact that you talk all the way through and keep it relevant to what goes on on the screen. I'd love to see what you would come up with renovating 88 Road to Nowhere. Now THAT'S a challenge 😂 that lot is crazy! Thanks for another great video to cheer me up after a terrible work week.
I actually really like this! It looks very much like the kind of house you'd find out in the American desert. Watching these builds sort of makes me want to return to one of my projects, a single 'hood that incorporates at least the Sims of Pleasantview and Strangetown. The build I had there for the Specter house was following more of a "creepy old Victorian manor" style, which I think fits a version of Olive that's not in a desert 'hood.
Yes, definitely! I think if they would live in Pleasantview I would've give them some sort of house of the fallen trees vibe as well 😁 I just felt like sticking to the desert theme because I barely ever play in desert towns so I thought at least once I should build out of my comfort zone 😅
in my file, olive died, ophelia went to college with johnny smith, and in that house lives nervous subject with pascal curious and their alien baby, i'm also doing a makeover of that house! and yours is truly amazing!❤️
I would also add some stones on all the pavement borders, but woah, you did a reaaaally great job in here. I havent thought that desert area in the sims 2 can look that good.
This is gorgeous! I just started playing in Strangetown again having gotten my game to work (thanks to you!) This is so inspiring! I added some Atomic style motel apartments with a diner next to it all in a 50s style Americana which I think fits my version of this hood. I love this series and your channel. Lots of love ❤
I usually renovate this house with cc to get better textured stones on the walls, but I always keep the feel of the morgue/renovated church. However, I really like what you did with the place, now I want to try doing a desert style house with a middle eastern vibe (Olive originally has furnitures with this vibe). Thank you for the inspiration ^^
Your building style is so cool! I must admit that I'm not that into the lore when it comes to makeover the houses as it says like, but I think yours is a good mix of the old one and a newer one too! In my current save I waited till Ophelia gets married to renovated the house, thou still in the old format and let she and her family live there as well, I think she deserves at least this, but Nervous also got a money from Olive to build his own house next to hers, I see him as more of a simple person wating to live the life itself after the years at the Beaker's household, so he'll be fine even outside of the Specter main house. And as you mentioned other households, I'm very curious to see what do you have for the Singles and the Loner bin families. 😆
Ahh thank you! And that is a really good idea about Nervous, I might actually do that while playing! And the Singles are one of my fav households in Strangetown so I'm very excited about their home! 😁
@@CozyPixels So excited for this! And yeah, the Singles are my favorite too, develop each of the girls is so fun! But I also love the Curious brothers, aliens are my fav supernaturals, sooo... 😍
I loved! I think Olive doesn't like having aliens in her house and so there is a table outside the lot. Today I remodeled Brandi Broke's house, she married that townie Tellerman, and he brought 10,000 simoleons and then he got a bonus of 7,000, now the house is very comfortable and beautiful. As for Strangetown, I plan to play in that neighborhood, but first I'm going to do the BACC and I also have to take care of Pleasantview. Also i use a bit of CC so it's hard for me to decorate with maxis content😅
This one is my favourite so far of the renovations! Looks really good 😍 I have a really hard time trying to make Mediterranean houses, but yours is very good! 🤍
Really love your makeovers 😍😍😍 are the arches/open doors you used for the patio from the Sims 4 ? Love how you Up the patio area a little bit for the roofs, it adds some great touch, usually the roof « eat » the walls, thats a great way to avoid that 😀
Just a suggestion. You mentioned not having a big enough rug. Have you tried making a fake rug out of carpet squares? Not the prettiest, but you j.g have a fantastic sense of style. I think you could make it blend well.
Love your builds!! I don't know if you already had it in mind but you will try to reform the house "73 Road to Nowhere" but with the challenge of maintaining the exterior walls. I hate that house but I think you can do magic with it. p.s: sorry if I have a mistake English is not my first language
I like the house but it really doesn’t have the same vibe as the original house. It’s not bad, it’s really amazing your building, but I think it would be better if you made a better house without killing the vibe that the original house has

Oh, I just made a gas station with a garage to fix cars, mini mart (both inspired by the one from Sims 2 PSP) and small eatery.

Cool house, it would also suit the Monty's part of Veronaville 👍🏻
Love the house! So beautiful! I want it - although i wouldn't give it to Specter family but to a happy family living in the south
I never imagined this house could look like this.
Specter Family was one of my favorites in TS2. Reno turned out amazing.
Thank you so much! 🥰
