Elstar is available in all kinds of mutants. The original elstar has only a little red blush, people like seeing red apples, so mutants are about colour and hardness of the fruit. Ours is mutant Elshof which has a nice full lightred color but the original taste. We also have Elstar Eke which is dark red, alot harder then the Elshof but the taste is still almost identical. If consumers demand more, fruit has to grow with the demand.
