To answer Ice Cube did not write the contract for black America. He enlisted the aid of several renowned black economists. Such as Dr. Claud Anderson. Dr. Anderson was the economic advisor for the White House during President Carters term. He actually the one who created affirmative action. He wrote the Contract for Black America. Fun fact: Uncle Tom was not a “yass’um,” foot-shuffling “N*gro,” but rather a strong, no-nonsense type who took pride in being Black. His real name was Josiah Henson and his life's story doesn’t much resemble his fictional portrayal in history books-nor the reinterpreted stage versions, for that matter. Unlike the stories we hear of Uncle Tom, Henson refused to surrender to his fate and die a slave; his determination and passion saved the lives of hundreds of people. He was a real life hero❤.

Voting for either party is a vote against the interests of Black people. Both parties center the interests of white people and corporations. It's interesting how some people label Ice Cube as a sellout without understanding the historical context of the term. Many are also unaware of the history of the Democratic Party and its impact on black people's progress. It's important to note that black people were originally Republicans, and Dixiecrats refers to Democrats who hindered black progress. Before labeling someone as a sellout, it's crucial to comprehend the history of both parties. Rather than demonizing Republicans, we need to do better as a community and stop the hate towards individuals who may have different perspectives.

He claimed to be pro black but based on how he conducts business you should have known. Most black men that is in his position has done the same thing. His music unlike groups like public enemy educated and represented as rappers should. So now we should listen to him based on his record which shows that what he is doing is in his own best interest and not the interest of the whole. Republicans and democratics are not going to help us we need a grassroots revolutionary to make change. To Pierre point ice cube was not the first and he was not prolific. My mother bought a book called Black Fortune and that was mentioned here... Historical legal precedent is not just an archaic notion used to excuse incompetent legal decision; history has power and perhaps Icecube should read the preceding entrepreneurial history so as to have more anchored , broader discussion with more people in our community. Coming armed with that history beyond hip-hop economics would be helpful. The younger members on the panel stood out today very well. Ice was pro-Black and had a strong demeanor when he was younger. I don’t criticize him for trying to get something done on our behalf. I’m criticizing him for going to the Republican Party who only gave him time because they think he can give them our vote. But those “napkins” aren’t going to anything for us either.
