I don't know if they will ever get any at the rescue since they are breeding other monkeys like Orangutans, Wooley Monkeys and so on. I live in the United States and have watch until season 6 until they share the other 15 seasons. I was on there channel and that's when I was suggested the Lola ye Bonobo's channel and the Bonobo's Conservation. Since you had the Cincinnati zoo in the documentary, I'm going to try to go there. Since documentary is from 14 years ago, I wonder if there are places closer to Utah that's not 2 or 3 days away. Thank you for doing this documentary. I hate that any wild animal needs to have the kind of help from rescue groups, conservationists, zoo's and so on. I can understand why people kills certain animals for food like cows, chickens and animals like that but only in a humane way and not is places that torture animals through genetics and steroids. When it comes to those who live in certain countries and places like the Congo or where food is limited, I don't know if I kind of understand or not. I will never understand why they kill these beautiful Bonobo's. It seems like there are so many villagers and people that understand how wrong it is to kill these nearly extent animals that others that are killing the adults for food and sell the babies are wrong to do that. I have to question what we know or what we are being told by these "experts", as commented below new evidence has come out about Bonobos. You can find a video here of a female eating her young. Who is doing the research? How much and how often are they actually studying them in the wild?
Did you even listen to what they said in that BBC video. It was the only time that had ever been seen in this closely studied species. The animal was probably starving because its habitat and food sources are being destroyed by the human garbage that inhabits the DRC. This was a one off observation and not normal behavior. One animal doing something does not represent the normal behavior of the entire species. There are human canibals, does that mean that canibalism is a normal human behavior, no.
Bonobos do not eat their young. They are not the least bit violent, ever. Bonobo moms, unlike orangs, gorillas and chimps do not abandon their young either. A lot of alpha males of across many animal species will eat the young of other males because it's instinctual to their survival, and it's territorial. In many ways all of this is "normal" for a wild animal. In chimp society, alpha males rule and are aggressive with females but I don't know of any instance of what we could logically consider "rape" in chimp culture. Rape is an act of violence and control , not sex. It is a distinctly human act of intentional violence and rage
I find this research very believable and has merit in our consideration in human society and government. However, some human females have become too egocentric, lying and backstabbing, instead of loving, peaceful, truthful, and accepting, that I feel at this time in human history, female human leadership would not benefit our society any more than male. After reading some comments, I don’t like being manipulated by falsehoods. But, in the end, to me the most important thing is to save our wildlife and nature, our forests, and natural resources.

Interesting to learn about Bonobos but are these "experts" saying that if humans were all bi-sexual or homosexual then peace would reign in the world? If so, then I give this video a D-. I appreciate these animals and wish them well but leave the societal commentary out of it. Additionally, these animals are obviously intelligent and there are similarities but they don't have to go to school to get educated so that they can go out and earn a living and work for bosses and face many of the pressures that humans face. Bonobos can be aggressive at times. I've watched programs on NatGeo showing this. Still, these incidents are few & far between.
I think the key thing is yes they can be aggressive, but within their societies they tend to resolve conflict quickly with little damage,

I have to question what we know or what we are being told by these "experts", as commented below new evidence has come out about Bonobos. You can find a video here of a female eating her young. Who is doing the research? How much and how often are they actually studying them in the wild?
Did you even listen to what they said in that BBC video. It was the only time that had ever been seen in this closely studied species. The animal was probably starving because its habitat and food sources are being destroyed by the human garbage that inhabits the DRC. This was a one off observation and not normal behavior. One animal doing something does not represent the normal behavior of the entire species. There are human canibals, does that mean that canibalism is a normal human behavior, no.
Bonobos do not eat their young. They are not the least bit violent, ever. Bonobo moms, unlike orangs, gorillas and chimps do not abandon their young either. A lot of alpha males of across many animal species will eat the young of other males because it's instinctual to their survival, and it's territorial. In many ways all of this is "normal" for a wild animal. In chimp society, alpha males rule and are aggressive with females but I don't know of any instance of what we could logically consider "rape" in chimp culture. Rape is an act of violence and control , not sex. It is a distinctly human act of intentional violence and rage

I find this research very believable and has merit in our consideration in human society and government. However, some human females have become too egocentric, lying and backstabbing, instead of loving, peaceful, truthful, and accepting, that I feel at this time in human history, female human leadership would not benefit our society any more than male.
After reading some comments, I don’t like being manipulated by falsehoods. But, in the end, to me the most important thing is to save our wildlife and nature, our forests, and natural resources.

Interesting to learn about Bonobos but are these "experts" saying that if humans were all bi-sexual or homosexual then peace would reign in the world? If so, then I give this video a D-. I appreciate these animals and wish them well but leave the societal commentary out of it. Additionally, these animals are obviously intelligent and there are similarities but they don't have to go to school to get educated so that they can go out and earn a living and work for bosses and face many of the pressures that humans face. Humans excel and from the beginning they have invented everything we live with and have evolved with.
