Plus, former Vikings safety Robert Griffith joins to discuss Harrison Smith's retirement decision, Kevin O'Connell, and the NFL playoffs. In the Daily 3, Ron weighs in on the Vikings draft, Anthony Edwards' shooting, and Saquon Barkley.

Robert Griffith your the man!! Your one of my all-time favorites. I appreciated how u represented the best team in the NFL with the Vikings. I believe you were pound for pound the hardest and best tackler for the time u spent in the League.
I love Robert Griffith! Still got my #24 jersey. Thanks for being such a great player for the Vikings, Robert!!!!
Griffith was the teams starting safety when I first started watching the nfl! He was a beast and an amazing tackler & leader. Major props to the great player!
We’re building for a championship.
You guys discount Darnold's running capability way too much. There needs to be designed plays. As for the last two games, he had nowhere to run. It's all about play design and spreading out the D. What happens is they have the opposite to give their small WR's a chance for separation at the line. They need a bigger WR or a threatening RB. Darnold's run game is limited due to his WR's and lack of OL domination to create lanes. They force him to stay in a small pocket and wait for plays to develop. But when WR 1 and 2 are jammed at the line and the pocket is collapsing with free runners he has to remember progressions number 3 and 4. The adjustment is to make progressions 3 and 4 (short routes) 1 and 2 but this has to be practiced (prepare) to implement effectively or at all. The team was not prepared and KOC had no design runs because he/mgmt feels Jets needs to be a priority. With JJM's weak knees running will not be an option anytime soon.
Not - gonna - happen.
