- WE tour around the BIG Island of Hawaii in 3 days and jam it full of adventures. It's been a month since we have set foot on land after crossing the Pacific Ocean, so for the following 3 days we make it our mission to do as much as possible on the Big Island Hawaii.
First stop was to visit the Pu'uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park or City of Refuge. Learn a little about the history of the Hawaiian Islands.
Then right next door we get in the water for the first time since leaving Mexico! And the water is fantastic! WE snorkel with the beautiful tropical fish of Hawaii and even get an up close and personal visit with the local spinner dolphins.
WE hike a beautiful trail down to the Captain Cook's memorial, and then the adventures continue as we drive around the entire island, crossing through 8 of the 13 world climate zones all on one little BIG island. Followed by our final hike into the Waimea Valley. WE made sure to utilize our legs as much as possible.

..... well Erica! you certainly have the energy than allows animals to approach you .... capturing the Dolphins on camera definite bonus .... great of you to include the Public Service Announcement about the Dolphins resting habits and giving them room ..... this is what every port call should he like, going inland for a few days to explore .. actually you have done this several times in the Sea of Cortez and then of course there was your jaunt to Mexico City too..... thx again Warren & Erica for taking us with you .... and as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....

Well, I've been to Hawaii & I've attempted to photograph & video the rawness of its beauty. I hoped (based on your incredible underwater filming) that you may capture the depth of field! Alas, it can't be captured!!! So stunning- yet, one has to be standing in its majesty to grok it in fullness!!!
We injoyed having ya'll over. To bad we didn't have more time. But like I said Ya'll come back now ya here! 😆

Obviously, the Polynesian settlers discovered #hawaii because they were there when Cook landed.
It's been a while since I have talked to you. I have been traveling around the US filming National Forests and Parks. We were on Maui the same time you were on the Big Island. In 2008 I photographed all those places you visited for a website, as well as all the other Hawaiin Islands. Enjoy!

So you snorkeling there while the dolphins are sleeping brings other predators to the bay. That makes no sense. Sounds like some tree hugger BS.
Still ironic while advising others to respect the dolphins space while resting you swim up and film right in front of their faces. Don't be those people....
Okay maybe you missed the part where we were stopped, and they came to us… did you miss that, I NEVER chased them, they were coming to me and investigating me, over and over again, thought that was super clear in the video

Hawaii was discovered by the Polynesians. Surely you know this right?
