This is my favorite song on ICU. It's literally the perfect depiction of addiction. My favorite Three Days Grace song, Over and Over is my favorite for the same reason. It sounds like a relationship but it's with an addiction and not a person
The best part of this song is how open it is to interpretation. While Jake did tease the song as a song about addiction this can also be applied to, say, an abusive relationship whether it be physical or psychological. One might also make the attachment to self harming being used as a method to "numb the (mental/emotional) pain". Definitely one of their best and one of my favorites by far.
