Even if you’re not a baritone, these guys have SO much to offer... amazing musicians who’ve accomplished so many great things. I’ve also had a voice lesson with Brian before, he taught me a LOT. Use this stuff and apply it to your own part!
The best thing about the baritone part is the ability to sing higher than the tenors or lower than the basses. They're your most versatile part of any quartet or chorus.
I've known Brandon for almost 25 years. It is so comforting to know that he has retained the HISTORY of the sound! A lot of what's sung today is not what was done years ago.
I have had a GREAT time learning about barbershop over the past year, and this series about the different voice parts was very interesting to me. Thanks all for sharing your knowledge and experience!
An influencial quartet man once said..."Anyone can sing baritone..." to Brandon's brother. I shook my head in shame! Brandon proves that statement to be so wrong!
When I sing Bari, I find to prefer to stand next to the Tenor, it's easier to harmonize. Depending on the arrangement, standing next to a Lead or Bass throws me off a bit, or I need to put in an earplug
