Great Tutorial today. Ok 7 years ago or so....anyway I have this very autumn gilding flakes and very few cut out die overlays like shown but a few. Also some hearts or shapes that have a lot of cut out designs to them. So will give those a trial run using this technique shown. Love that you can skip the paste/glues etc. This is an effect I've been thinking I want and though I laminate/foil/toner and glimmer heat foil among a couple of other foiling options I haven't found the multi colored fall flavor I've been wishing for. THIS is what I'm searching for. For my Thanksgiving cards I have in my head idea. So timing is perfect. I was searching how to apply the use of Spellbinders Texture plate 1 today because some how I bought 2 and have no idea what to do with them? I did find some info so have the means to apply them to paper now and perhaps to some tough media Sizzix sells that ruined not one but 3 of my cherished Tim Holtz cut and emboss 3D small dies. I think it was the media as I went through 3 different die machines including one electric that day and still each die was damaged so bad by all three attempts and all three brandnew. I have yet to replace...it's like 40 dollars worth of dies and I'm stubborn. Meantime I look at my gilding flakes from time to time and go huh? I do have the glues and several kinds but still it's always more messy than I want. I don't like stencils so watching this which I think I watched before or maybe one of her earlier videos but yes a great one and off to play actually today. Seven years late to the table but hey...we all start somewhere. Thanks for sharing you so helpful to me and no doubt man others...look at your VIEWS 7 years later !!!! OMGosh lady you keep going.

Thank you...I love these techniques! I have been pumping out cards using them for days now and what I discovered is that to ensure permanent bondage, I run the panel (sandwiched between 2 pieces of paper) through my die cut machine. Flakes and glitter will never budge!

I personally have never had an issue with anything falling off so I don't find the need to run them thru my die cut machine, but I also don't use loose glitter since I dont care for it lol.. What a brilliant idea, I bought some gilding flakes on clearance, figured I would use them for something...wow...mind blown! I have lots of stencils and lots of die cuts to use for this excellent technique...thanks!
Glad the video was helpful and now you can get some use out of your gilding flakes. Have fun with it! Be sure to add plenty of sticky medium to the back of your stencil otherwise it will get stuck if your using strong adhesive sheets. thanks for watching & commenting!
yes they are easier to work with while in a larger container, i opted out since i have too many different colors in the flakes it just takes up too much space for me. glad u found some inspiration in my video. thx for watching & commenting!

Very pretty!! Appreciate the 2 diff. techniques as i don’t have any dies that large but do have lots of stencils. I know there are places to get large dies cheaper but for the life of me I can’t remember❤️

I just loved that die cut cover plate and that stencil! I tried to find the die cut but no luck. I wonder if that hero arts is still made? These turned out just stunning! What I like the most is the colors in the flakes. I don’t like gold but found some colored flakes on SBC. I have to check out this indigo blue also. Just breathtaking! Very elegant! What an easy mass production card for Christmas! Great video!
Yea it was a gorgeous cover plate as Cheery Lynn went out of business their . If you're not a fan of gold there are gilding flakes with a silver base instead of gold. Creative Expressions has also come out with a similar product called Aurora Flakes a couple f year ago.... check those out as well. @@scrappin4myboys I saw cosmic shimmer I think it is, has purple and pink but I just happened to see the next day I had a $5 Michaels coupon so I stopped and bought a bottle there with gold, copper, silver and the most beautiful turquoise! And they look great together! I can do gold in fall but it’s pretty much the only time I do. I do like silver and if the one I bought goes well get one of those. I love that you can stamp with the special glue! Then you can even use your dies by using the stamping foam! I definitely want to get that. Do you have a preference on which glue you like better for stamping? And I thought about running an embossing folder through and using a brayer to add the glue to the embossed card and trying to rub flakes on that. Idk if it would work but I’ll try it. Months from now. It’s time to prepare for winter so lots of work. Thank you!!
I'm so sorry for the late response, Gotta love when you can use coupons. I have only ever tried the cosmic shimmer glue but actually prefer to use sticky embossing powder over the a glue. With the glue you can only use rubber stamps, you can't use any clear stamps. I did a video on the sticky embossing powder and it is actually my preferred method. @@scrappin4myboys perfect timing on your responses. thank you! i’ve been going over 1 idea i have for thanksgiving using the flakes i bought. but for the life of me couldn’t remember which channel i watched that had explained there’s a glue you can stamp with. i only have modge podge or Aleens tacky glue. BUT, i do have sticky embossing powder. mines super old but never used but twice this last year. both times it was not even coverage when melted. so idk if it could be because it’s old. my other ranger powders work fine. I’ve switched to WOW for my embossing now but they have a sticky one i think. what do you think would be best on an embossing folder image? use versamark or whatever and sticky powder put on with a brayer or a brush? thank you!!!

I make one of a kind jewelry and i just started doing glue gun pictures on canvas and now going to try to add what you are doing. It looks pretty easy but the wow factor is awesome and it is always nice to send or give to people something that you made and then the go gaga when you tell them you made this beautiful thing. Many thanks for all the inspiration. I decant my flakes into a bigger container and I find that so much easier to work with.

Very pretty!! Appreciate the 2 diff. techniques as i don’t have any dies that large but do have lots of stencils. I know there are places to get large dies cheaper but for the life of me I can’t remember❤️
Glad you enjoyed it. Please be sure to add plenty of versamark or embossing ink on the back of the stencil so it does not get stuck to ur paper. Hope you give it a try and have fun! tfw!

I just loved that die cut cover plate and that stencil! I tried to find the die cut but no luck. I wonder if that hero arts is still made? These turned out just stunning! What I like the most is the colors in the flakes. I don’t like gold but found some colored flakes on SBC. I have to check out this indigo blue also. Just breathtaking! Very elegant! What an easy mass production card for Christmas! Great video!
Yea it was a gorgeous cover plate as Cheery Lynn went out of business their . If you're not a fan of gold there are gilding flakes with a silver base instead of gold. Creative Expressions has also come out with a similar product called Aurora Flakes a couple f year ago.... check those out as well.

@@scrappin4myboys I saw cosmic shimmer I think it is, has purple and pink but I just happened to see the next day I had a $5 Michaels coupon so I stopped and bought a bottle there with gold, copper, silver and the most beautiful turquoise! And they look great together! I can do gold in fall but it’s pretty much the only time I do. I do like silver and if the one I bought goes well get one of those. I love that you can stamp with the special glue! Then you can even use your dies by using the stamping foam! I definitely want to get that. Do you have a preference on which glue you like better for stamping? And I thought about running an embossing folder through and using a brayer to add the glue to the embossed card and trying to rub flakes on that. Idk if it would work but I’ll try it. Months from now. It’s time to prepare for winter so lots of work. Thank you!!
I'm so sorry for the late response, Gotta love when you can use coupons. I have only ever tried the cosmic shimmer glue but actually prefer to use sticky embossing powder over the a glue. With the glue you can only use rubber stamps, you can't use any clear stamps. I did a video on the sticky embossing powder and it is actually my preferred method. @@scrappin4myboys perfect timing on your responses. thank you! i’ve been going over 1 idea i have for thanksgiving using the flakes i bought. but for the life of me couldn’t remember which channel i watched that had explained there’s a glue you can stamp with. i only have modge podge or Aleens tacky glue. BUT, i do have sticky embossing powder. mines super old but never used but twice this last year. both times it was not even coverage when melted. so idk if it could be because it’s old. my other ranger powders work fine. I’ve switched to WOW for my embossing now but they have a sticky one i think. what do you think would be best on an embossing folder image? use versamark or whatever and sticky powder put on with a brayer or a brush? thank you!!!

This is so cool. Came across you looking for something else and loved what you did. So I subscribed and cannot wait to see what else you will me doing. I am busting the door down on new things to do. I make one of a kind jewelry and i just started doing glue gun pictures on canvas and now going to try to add what you are doing. It looks pretty easy but the wow factor is awesome and it is always nice to send or give to people something that you made and then the go gaga when you tell them you made this beautiful thing.
