I loved it. You made me laugh as well. Who cares if things get messy. That’s the world of crafting which I love. I really appreciate new ways to use my gold flakes and glitter. Great ideas. Thanks truly. Your tutorial was perfect. You are great at tutorials.
I also loved this tutorial, hey, who cares about mess, we love mess, it's all about the craft. You really inspired me to get those guilding flakes out, can't believe that I have all the products required to achieve this look, so I'm going to give it a go this evening. Thank you for sharing xx
Thank you so much Siobhan! I'm so glad it help inspire you! Its even better that you already have the supplies for it. I did do an updated version of this a few weeks ago using multiple die cuts to create the background instead of just one panel. Have fun creating and thank you so mUch for watching & commenting!
Thank you...I love these techniques! I have been pumping out cards using them for days now and what I discovered is that to ensure permanent bondage, I run the panel (sandwiched between 2 pieces of paper) through my die cut machine. Flakes and glitter will never budge!
So glad you enjoyed the video and are playing with your gilding flakes! Gotta love it when we find new fun things to do that look gorgeous. I personally have never had an issue with anything falling off so I don't find the need to run them thru my die cut machine, but I also don't use loose glitter since I dont care for it lol.. I typically only use the flakes. Keep having fun! Thank you so much for watching & commenting!
yes they are easier to work with while in a larger container, i opted out since i have too many different colors in the flakes it just takes up too much space for me. glad u found some inspiration in my video. thx for watching & commenting!
What a brilliant idea, I bought some gilding flakes on clearance, figured I would use them for something...wow...mind blown! I have lots of stencils and lots of die cuts to use for this excellent technique...thanks!
Glad the video was helpful and now you can get some use out of your gilding flakes. Have fun with it! Be sure to add plenty of sticky medium to the back of your stencil otherwise it will get stuck if your using strong adhesive sheets. thanks for watching & commenting!
LOVE the video using the guilding flakes!!! Thank you soooooo much for showing how to make these BEAUTIFUL backgrounds!!! Love your videos. They teach so much!!!!
Hi I love these techniques you have demonstrated. Must get out my gilding flakes, stencils and tape and get to creating. Thanks again - just love them.
Hi Dianne! So glad you enjoyed the techniques! Gotta love gilding flakes! Have fun creating! And thank you so much for taking the time to watch & comment, I greatly appreciate it!
Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for this tutorial. It has given me more ideas and uses for my stencils, die cuts and my flakes. I would never have thought of doing something like this. 😊
I have had guilding flakes for ages and didn't know what to do with them, I have just started card crafting and wow you have blitzed my mind with ideas. Your cards are gorgeous thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much... I did this technique in a start to finish card video last year. Here is the link in case you want to see the technique again in use on an actual card :) th-cam.com/video/pZUXlaIw4Zo/w-d-xo.html
Great Tutorial today. Ok 7 years ago or so....anyway I have this very autumn gilding flakes and very few cut out die overlays like shown but a few. Also some hearts or shapes that have a lot of cut out designs to them. So will give those a trial run using this technique shown. Love that you can skip the paste/glues etc. This is an effect I've been thinking I want and though I laminate/foil/toner and glimmer heat foil among a couple of other foiling options I haven't found the multi colored fall flavor I've been wishing for. THIS is what I'm searching for. For my Thanksgiving cards I have in my head idea. So timing is perfect. I was searching how to apply the use of Spellbinders Texture plate 1 today because some how I bought 2 and have no idea what to do with them? I did find some info so have the means to apply them to paper now and perhaps to some tough media Sizzix sells that ruined not one but 3 of my cherished Tim Holtz cut and emboss 3D small dies. I think it was the media as I went through 3 different die machines including one electric that day and still each die was damaged so bad by all three attempts and all three brandnew. I have yet to replace...it's like 40 dollars worth of dies and I'm stubborn. Meantime I look at my gilding flakes from time to time and go huh? I do have the glues and several kinds but still it's always more messy than I want. I don't like stencils so watching this which I think I watched before or maybe one of her earlier videos but yes a great one and off to play actually today. Seven years late to the table but hey...we all start somewhere. Thanks for sharing you so helpful to me and no doubt man others...look at your VIEWS 7 years later !!!! OMGosh lady you keep going.
Your tutorial is fantastic. I appreciate that your instructions flowed. It didn't matter to me that some of your supplies were not immediately available. Thank you for creating and sharing this video.😊
Wow I love your tutorial! You said it's not your "thing". If you meant that your not good at it... think again girl! Your so down to earth I like you more than some that make everything seem so effortless. Know why? Because now I feel that I can actually DO THIS! I usually can't find something (like you just did). Our misalign something (like you just did), so you just showed me that even someone who is a "professional" and you make mistakes too. I hope that came out like a compliment because it's meant to be! Im a new subscriber!
Thats awesome I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial and feel confident to go ahead and try it. Yes I think its important for others to see the mistakes you make because no one is perfect, we all make mistakes... and perfection thru videos can make the ones watching feel intimidated. And I totally understood what you were trying to say because I feel the same way. Best to show the mistakes and also show what you do to try and fix it... Thank you so much for taking the time to watch, comment and subscribring, I truly do appreciate it!
+Alison Jordan Thank you Alison. Glad you liked the video. They are messy but very easy to use. I also have videos using it with the glue as well as the sticky embossing powder.

This is so cool. Came across you looking for something else and loved what you did. So I subscribed and cannot wait to see what else you will me doing. I am busting the door down on new things to do. I make one of a kind jewelry and i just started doing glue gun pictures on canvas and now going to try to add what you are doing. It looks pretty easy but the wow factor is awesome and it is always nice to send or give to people something that you made and then the go gaga when you tell them you made this beautiful thing. Glad a came across you so see you in your next video!!!!
