My father's best friend watched this live in stadium....whenever I talk to him about that innings he starts explaining and ends up crying after the hair raising story......still he cldnt explain completely what was the scene out there in person....he never gets tired of talking ABT that either ...😉

It is actually the innings that changed the face of our cricket, it brought life & self-belief, Kapil would always be remembered as a game-changer in our cricket. a complete cricketer, there is no one greater than him, heartwarming to see such an extraordinary use of technology to relive the special moments.

I was 10 years old and barely knew much about cricket. We listened to commentary of this match( we had no TV then). After this match, I became a cricket fan and entire India became Kapil dev's fan. This match was the turning point and the victory in final was time when entire India celebrated for the first time after independence probably ( except for 71 war).
My friend abhash makharia has played the role of kapil dev in this add. I feel great to have known him. He and the entire airtel team has made me nostalgic especially the tune that was like tune of the decade.

Such an innings was just unheard of in those days. The confidence this gave was such that India won the World Cup which in turn bolstered the coming generations to perform above & beyond of what the team needed.
