Hi! Glad to see harmonies and river of gold getting some deserved love. I love Cascadia as a Comfort game, ideal to introduce people to the cozzy side of boardgaming. But harmonies, for me personally, (helped by the cascadia digital steam version that cames out) became one of my favorite cozzy (yet a bit heavier) boardgame and especially for solo, for which I just post a video and link on bgg for a variant I made. If you ever wanna check it out :) Cheers from beglium!
@@aorakis5795 awesome, Eric and I would love to check out the solo variant, drop me a link in a reply. Thanks for watching and happy gaming from Alaska!
great list! Of these games I'm most excited to try Sakura Slam (have the original and total mayhem), Ironwood, Harmonies, and Leviathan Wilds at some point - and Kelp and Arcs intrigue me as well - so many good games.... hope I get the chance to play them. PS - love your channel, keep 'em coming
@@leovincent6461 thank you for the kind words! And yeah, there are so many killer games right now, it’s bananas. Hope you have some great gaming in 2025!
Big fan of food analogies when there's a good one. Definitely gonna yoink that Comfort food imagery for river of gold. The conversation around this game stands out a decent amount. It's solid, real good, but in a way that is praised unremarkably. Where Arcs provide "some of the highest highs", river of gold's just really polished, clean and enjoyable. But comfort food is a great way to sell someone on the game and set good expectations for it.

A Gest of Robin Hood is now my go to game of 2024 if I want a two-player Root alternative. Love the channel btw 😀
@@willreardon5116 that was on my shortlist as a close # 11. Great game! Thanks for the kind words.

Excited to get LW in the mail this May!
I totally agree with your opinion on Harmonies and it's relationship with Cascadia.
I love Leviathan Wilds. It offers something different. It´s also my game of the year.
Thanks for the list! Love Buttons & Bugs! But dang, sleeve those scenario cards hahah!
