Unboxing Exploding Kittens: Cat Burglar, but Should You Buy This?

- Hello, and welcome to the description! Today we're opening up the Cat Burglar edition of Exploding Kittens, mostly to try to work out what's actually different about it. It turns out - pretty much just the squishy cat that comes with it.
Now don't get me wrong, who doesn't love a squishy cat? But as everything else in this game is the same, and the box being double the size, my instinct is to say to only get this one if you're either an avid collector, or buying for someone who doesn't have the original. It seems like a nice little mechanic though, and I look forward to trying it out!
We've confirmed with Exploding Kittens PR that this version is exclusively sold by Smyths.

I was fortunate enough to get the chance to back the kickstarter for the original game and got a wonderful little box that meows when you open the lid. It's large enough that it holds the original deck plus it's expansions, which is nice. Love the game and it continues to be in my rotation of tabletop games.
Haha I love the little touches like that! I'm the same, it's a game that comes out every few game nights just for its ease, fun, and how quick it is. I've also got Exploding Minions which works well when there are younger family members about. Which of the expansions are your favourite?
We bought the original version for Christmas and haven't had a chance to play it yet. We will today! Even without a squishy cat burglar 😁

Hey, I just wanted to clarify, how does one brings in the cat at the start of the game? As in what decides that who holds the cat first, (understood the later part, as you told the player puts in front of target player, and it works like that)? But how does it start with whom will have the cat?
Is there any info where to buy this yet? I haven't seen a purchase link anywhere.
Zombie Kittens just dropped at my local store today, but I didn't see anything else new in the EK section today
It was supposed to launch alongside Mantis, but now I'm looking, I can't see it for sale anywhere as yet! I've popped them a message, I'll update you when they reply 😊

Seen in it on the shelf at hmv. But can't seem to find it in any dutch shops, unfortunately ;(
I think they've ended up making it a UK exclusive, as I've not seen it elsewhere either! :(
The game came out this week in Germany so it should be available in other European countries too :)
