I just wanna say I LOVE that you did the math and cited actual rulings for crowd limits. Best video I have seen on honestly any convention which definitely puts things in scale! Thank you for the work you put into this!
I was at this convention, I totally agree with this entire thing. As it was great to see so many nice people there, I think staffing and planning should’ve been better
The WORSE anime convention i ever been to, no other anime convention comes close to second. i waited in line for 3+ hours in 100+ degree weather in full cosplay. worse part is i went solo and was alread3/4ths the way there when i started to feel dehydrated and my bladder was FULL. by the time i got there i immediately rushed to the restroom and my throat was so dry it felt like i had a Stone stuck there. all cause i didn't wanna lose my spot. it was so bad that the following day most people in line were using umbrellas and anime fans were distributing water to other fellow fans. Oh yeah to add insult the water fountains were closed off and the water inside was 7 Dollars!
I dunno, my one con had way more people than normal at the con and we adjusted to speed up line intake. Maybe they had an overly complicated badge pickup method or they let people add lanyards in front of badge pickup? Although we definitely haven't remotely hit capacity, we did run out of badges the last two years, but never had insane lines despite only two people doing all the badges. We just got really fast at it.
