ICU syndrome 😅
This takes me back to 2 months earlier when my father was brought to the hospital due to an accident, he was declared brain dead and by the time I reached there he was put up on life support for 3 days. It breaks my heart to know that my dad is no more and didn't even talk to me or mumma for the last time. I miss him deeply I hope i can make him proud one day!
You're already making him proud! My condolences! 💙💙💙
This takes me back to when I was on life support. What I thought was just the flu turned into covid then pneumonia then severe ARDS. My lungs were being destroyed by fluids. I remember the doctor coming in and saying their last option was to put me on a ventilator. There was one time while I was intubated that I became conscious. I tried to talk (obviously I couldn't with the breathing tube in place) and move my fingers but I couldn't. I couldn't see either but I could hear voices. I was trapped inside my own body. Terrifying. I awoke from the medically induced coma and I vaguely remember seeing how happy the ICU staff was to see me alive. In fact one doctor said he wanted a pic with me because no one thought I would make it. These sounds are haunting (especially the incomprehensible voices in the background). I still get flashbacks from the delirium and hallucinations caused by the sedation. Thought they were all real. But I survived by the grace of God. Every year on the anniversary of getting off the ventilator, I go back to that unit and bring the staff donuts.
Wow. What a story and even more so...what a blessing. 😇 My apologies if these sounds are despairing in any way. That was not the intention at all when creating this video, hence the disclaimer in the description sect. The goal is always emphasis on the ambience, the sounds, relaxation, sleep etc.
Happy to hear that you made it thru such a trying time in your life. 🕊💙
I've heard of many "ventilator stories" that, unfortunately, didn't have happy endings. So yea, by the grace of GOD...
Shout out to the ICU staff for providing great medical care! The donuts are well deserved and much more. 🍩☺
@hospitalambiencerelaxation no apology needed. I think about it quite often. In a weird way it takes me back and makes me happy to be alive. Thank you for making these

Sir? Just relax. You are on a ventilator to help you breathe!! You came in a few hours with a bloodstream infection, and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. But you are going to be ok. The bed you in is a specialized rotational bed that turns you every five minutes, and you're in this bed to help improve your oxygenation. You will be in this bed for a period of days, but we will get you out whenever your oxygenation status is better. You have a breathing tube down your throat that is connected to a ventilator that's breathing for you, while your lungs are too sick to breathe!!! You are going to be just fine. Your Mom called about 20 minutes ago to check on you, and she'll be in to visit you in the morning most likely! We have you on some medications to help keep you comfortable while you are connected to the ventilator. I know this is scary, but you're doing well. If you become too uncomfortable, we can turn up your sedation, but you seem to be doing well at the current time! Just relax! You are at a good hospital in the Pulmonary ICU, and we'll take good care of you here!
“ Hey it’s alright, hey, the nurses are doing a really good job. Your mum is coming in the morning, just get some rest,”
Haha, so cute. Thanks for watching! ☺️☺️
As an RN for over 25 years, 17 of those years doing 12hr nights in Critical Care settings like ICUs, Coronary Care Units, and ER, this is realistic for the most part. However, the IV pump alarming would be much much less frequent. No RN worth their salt would let that go on so much. Hearing the heartbeat is unlikely as well since most modern cardiac monitors are silent unless an alarm goes off for whatever reason, but this is ambience/background noise, so I think it’s ok for the added effect. Overall, it’s pretty accurate. Nice work!
All videos are created with the sole purpose to help the viewer relax or sleep, so some hospital sounds and images may be slightly exaggerated to help the viewer achieve this effect. I appreciate your comment so much! Especially, coming from such an extensive medical background! 😊💙✨
@@hospitalambiencerelaxation You know, I think I just watched/listened to another one of your videos, and it had the blood pressure cuff/pump sounds. That would be an excellent addition this ICU video, and something you would absolutely hear on a regular basis in there. I would scale back the IV Pump Alarming, and throw in the BP Cuff going off about ever 5 minutes or so. That would round out the overall sound, and make it quite accurate I think. Just a suggestion. :)

@@hospitalambiencerelaxation 💜 ur welcome

haha sounds great! Is it helping?!😅
Could use some parents crying in another room.
I was in a PICU when I was 15 once, fucking hated it. Kid next door was like 9, and had open heart surgery, and on the other end of the hall was an infant on life support. I felt so out of place there, cause all that'd happened to me was a kinked heart valve, I nearly died apparently from blood pooling in my abdominal cavity, and had to relearn how to function. But here's this kid, this *child* who hadn't even hit two digits, and he was getting his heart cut open.
I'm so sorry. Sounds very traumatic. 😔😔
@@hospitalambiencerelaxation It wasn't. For me anyways. It was more humiliating than anything else. First ever surgery and I find a way to fuck it up.
I didn't belong in a ward with children that were having legitimately life-threatening surgeries or diseases.
My surgery was a Nuss procedure. Literally two slits on either side of your rib cage and a bar slipped in and flipped under your sternum, so your inverted sternum grows outward instead of compressing inwards and slowly pancaking your heart and lungs.
It's one of the least invasive surgeries I've ever heard of.
And when they flipped the bar, my inferior vena cava got kinked. Blood pooled up in my stomach, and lungs if memory serves. I actually bloated a bit from all the fluid they pumped into me, and looked healthier than the 125 soaking wet famine victim I was back then. Whereas every day this little boy would walk around the ward after getting his heart cut open. I did not deserve to be anywhere near those examples of human resilience.
@@isengarde9490 Omg. I couldn't even imagine. You are very strong my dear. 💙
It would be great if you made a longer version of this. I use it to sleep most nights and always have to go through the settings to loop the video!
Yes, I was going to suggest looping the video.
Hearing those breathing sounds in the background remind me of Darth Vader and why is because his breathing sounds has been described as an operating room for instance emergency room walking around and he’s my favorite character from Star Wars 💛
Very interesting! ☺️
To the who's listening are you okay?
I sure hope so! ☺️
It's take me to that time when i was diagnosed with gullain Barre syndrome totally on ventilator for two months I can't speak or don't see anything my eyes also affected i can only hear doctor nurse and my family members voice and can't react on it because i m totally paralysed
Omg! So sorry that you had to go thru that. Hope that you are doing much better now. 💙💙✨
This year I been in and out of the hospital, being the only one who can drive in my family with health issues. Two years ago hospital stuff creeped me out, and I must say I'm less spooked nowadays after experiencing it more often, but there's still something very ominous about the hospital to me.
Wishing you the best of health. Thanks for sharing! 💙💙💙
في ناس طبيعية بتحب هيك اصوات ؟!
بالنسبة لكثير من الناس، يتعلق الأمر "بالأصوات فقط"، أكثر من التجربة. يعتبر شكلاً طبيًا من ASMR.
