I have same bracket but 47L box and I am happy I got it over the OEM. No issues and still looks good after 3 yrs on K1600GT

Why go for the Givi 47L box when the OEM BMW box is 49L !

Excellent video and very clearly explained, so thank you for that. Do you have any concerns with weight capacity? Givi rates this mount with a 6kg weight capacity which seems low for a 47 liter top box.

I've packed it up with far more than 6kg. You feel it when you're maneuvering in place, but once you get going it's fine.

Thanks for the video. I have a new ‘23 GT. I want to but a GIVI topcase on it but am having difficulty finding the mounting bracket for it. Questions: 1) what type of engine guards are on your bike. 2) looks like you also have an aftermarket windshield, what brand is it?

If you wanna save money, go with this: www.ebay.com/itm/145310736196. I dropped mine numerous times and they did the job. The windshield is Puig.

@PHXMoto at 4:40 you talk about those two rails. Did you put them in at the end or not? One of mine came lose, but I don't see the point of putting it back in between... Did you?

Sorry, it's been awhile since I installed this, however I do recommend to figure out the proper way to place them in. Leaving them out could potentially cause damage to your original tail assembly, as the whole base is made out of plastic (the BMW part).

@@BorisOnWheels I can't see yours in the video. But I will try to put it back between indeed.

Also can you show your Givi Box mounted to show us how sturdy the rack is (I think the BMW one is a shockingly bad fit/build).

I was worried about that as well, but it's sitting pretty well. No shaking. imgur.com/a/8rA5Gv4

Thanks for this. Can I ask why you decided to swap from the original BMW mounting kit and box please? Thanks.

This Givi is 20 litters bigger than BMW original and it costs ~$500. Original BMW box goes for $1400-1500.

The cost.BMW topbox in UK is £800.00. A givi one similar size £150.00.
