Josh, I am from Abilene, Tx and just found your videos on TH-cam(of course I subscribed) as result of my love of aviation.I think your videos are at the top of the stack by far. Thank you for all the video's you upload so people like me can learn a little something with each video.

Thanks Josh for “calling out” PTAC!! When I first heard this clearance during my IFR training, I remember thinking “oh crap” and asking my instructor to handle the reply.
I went a bit of quest to understand and breakdown this often heard clearance and quickly realized that there is really just two bits of information to extract during this heavy workload portion of the flight: Heading and altitude (since you should already know the approach clearance - it ‘s already been requested and you should have the plate in front of you - and the position data is conformational and does not necessarily require read back.)
In short, read back the turn and altitude, look at your plate, if needed, and confirm the runway and approach with ATC. Knowing what to expect in the PTAC, the order, and the anticipated read back really helped me manage the workload.
Great work on the editing and video, keep the instrument detail coming!

So much time and work goes into these videos. Thanks for all you do. I learned about something I had no knowledge of and through a simple mistake was able to learn even more. Now I have LDA knowledge. 👍🏻

Great video again Josh!!!! You totally did the right thing by correcting your mistakes, and reloading the video. That's how we keep learning, sometimes from our mistakes!! FAR/AIM is the best.

Studying for my instrument ground and researching more about LDA's. This was a great video, thanks Josh. At some point over the past few years, they moved the offset variance out of the localizer box and made it a short blurb just to the right of the approach. Seems like it would have made more sense just to keep it in the box.

Quick tip for 7:00 if you're using Premiere: Assuming you used gaussian blur, select "repeat edge pixels" in the blur settings to basically extend the blur out to the edge and not result in that vignette look.

Thanks for the corrections, and uploading a new video, Josh. I totally enjoyed the first couple of minutes of this video.
Got a question. In the KingAir 200, did they have the Garmin G1000 NXi displays in there? Also, I noticed that on your side, your display had SVT, but Justin wasn't using it on his. I've also talked to a couple of other professional pilots, who, if they had the choice, sometimes won't choose to use it. Did Justin give you any indication of why he didn't use it? To me, it just seems a bit silly not to use that information if you have it.

during your approach, when autopilot tone sounds you explain it in text and the pilot announces what the tone was. (redundant) then directly afterward there is a second tone and no reference in text or in cockpit regarding the tone. viewer does not know what the second tone was!
