even though horses are generally gentle animals, this horse actually knows it's dealing with a child and thus the extra gentleness; animals are way smarter than you give them credit for.

Clearly this is a very well trained horse, but the notion that the horse is aware of the child as a child is ludicrous and dangerous.

To those commentators that complain Emma is in Cinnamon's blind spot - clearly, Cinnamon is a calm, well-trained mare. You can see her instinctively keeping pace with the baby and constantly orienteering herself by touch. What a beautiful video. ♥
I agree, I believe the horse has the little girls best interest at heart. If the horse didn't I would say so but that's not the case here, this horse loves this little girl.

@@denwiessimo6088 The horse is too perceptive for that. You can tell she’s using all her senses to track the girl’s location, even turning her head to get visuals. The girl stopped walking, the the horse stopped walking. She’s on point.

I love how Cinnamon has such a personality. When Emma walks with her or drops the rein Cinnamon always looks over at her like "It's okay small human I'll be right here with you." And then when the man tells Emma to say goodbye Cinnamon kinda has that look like "Umm, excuse me? This is my small human how dare you--"

Caroline Mae Jones cinnamon is the kind of horse little girls should have growing up, not these pansy crazy flashy fast horses that’ll win them checks in a ring, but horses that are gentle, kind, easy going and patient as kids learn how to be around horses, handle, ride, etc. this horse is one in a million and that little girl will never forget her.

The horse is mainly focusing the little girl. You can tell how she always faces Emma, and pays attention to dad with her ears. You can notice that she follows the little girl's lead because when the father goes further and creates a draw the horse doesn't respond untill Emma also created a draw. You see this at 0:52

This is SO darling. I love it when she says "Cimmon" and says several times what the horse's name is...."Cimmon" because she can't quite say all the syllables.
I give this little girl so much credit. I'm 23 and terrified of horses. From what I've heard, a horse is the best friend you can have. Good luck to her and all her horse adventures

@@madambutterfly7513 BUT, he didn’t do it for her. He let her figure it out. There is a difference between alerting her to a problem and letting her solve it verses just taking care of the problem himself.

So cute. Years ago a child that small used to walk a Bernese Mountain dog near my home. She could have ridden it as a pony. The dog walked very quietly at her side and at her pace and made sure she stayed on the pavement. Her mother followed a few feet behind them.

Yesterday I took my mare to see my friend on her 50s birthday. She hadn't ridden a horse for 20 years and my usually feisty mare was acting 110% with her. I was amazed.

My older sister and I got to ride our elderly neighbors horses all through the Nevada desert when I was in grade school. The mare I rode, Sox was completely gentle with tiny me up on her. That was until we were headed back to her barn...then she would speed up! I have loved horses my entire life because of this childhood blessing. When I think of a horse, I think of soft, warm, nice and smart. That is what they are! Awesome creatures.
