I cant remember time when I was more excited for a game. Its like Uwe knew I needed a new iteration of Glass Road because Id played it to death, and built this just to meet that need. Thanks for the overview and review. You've quickly become my go-to solo youtuber. Always fantastic videos. Bravo!
This is a game for me! Thank god! I'm not the only one appreciating solo experiences without an AI in the way!!! Awesome overview and review! Thanks for doing this! Your work/play ethic must be second to none with all the nice content you are producing! Keep it up! A pleasure to watch!
This is my favorite season for gaming as the Essen Releases start to roll in!!! Lots to enjoy and lots to cover. I really appreciate your comment and your support! As for the solo mode, I love Uwe’s approach! To me, I love multiplayer solitaire! I appreciate the ability to play against automas for sure, but when I can completely focus on my own game, I always prefer it!
Thanks for sharing. Have heard a lot of good about this one and ordered it yesterday. Glad I did, because it seems to now be selling out at some retailers.
Great review, thanks a lot for another amazing video. I am thinking buying this one or Hallertau. I know they are very different but, which one do you think you are having more fan playing solo? Thanks again
Glad it was helpful! They are both good games, but I think I enjoy playing Black Forest a little more. Hallertau is also great fun but seems to be a little more linear than Black Forest in terms of strategy.
Thanks for comparing to Glass Rd. Haven’t bought either yet. BYOS solo has less upkeep (automa is like playing 2-hand) waiting for Nusfjord to arrive 😅
Thank you for making this video. Do you like this more or less than Oranienburger Kanal for solo? BTW your play through videos are part of why I own OK!
Glad I could help! That is a tough question. I think they are both top notch! I think I like Black Forest a just a little more because it is a little easier and more free flowing to play. OK really is a brain burner. I don’t think Black Forest is as AP inducing.
I was about to ask the same question… Interesting that you think OK is more of a brain burner. Currently both Black Forest and OK have a similar weight rating on BGG. But then I don’t mind brain burners… Which one has more of a luck component in your view ?
I didn’t like at all that wheel mechanic at all. It gives me stress. And I keep seeithat wheel in a few other games, including Kannal. In a way it’s good , so I know they are not games for me, and I’m saving money, hehe. Anyway. Always enjoy watching your videos

Unfortunately, beat your own score solo modes aren’t the greatest unless there’s a win/loss condition attached

Great game!
Thanks for this video, John. My copy just arrived yesterday!
Great! Enjoy!

2 mins in. Im sold!
Really enjoying this one, probably Uwe's most refined design to this date...
How long gameplay takes ?
@przemekg.1870 About 45 min solo.
I agree! It certainly feels refined!
@@JohnLaRuffa Thank you John 💪

OK probably has a little more luck due to the card draw but both games are pretty low in that department.

Thanks for watching! To each their own for sure!
Nice looking game, but for me needs an Automa for solo. Pass.
First like. First comment. Your move~
😆
Seconded😂
