Lin wrote it with the intention to it being able to put on a stage. “We don’t talk about Bruno” is the typical musical piece :)

I was pissed watching oscars version because they hyped it up somuch. the beginning was fine and then they did stupid remix version. at the end litrally couldnt hear anyone singing. It was so trash!

To be honest in the original they had every single different part singing at the exact same time because well they can splice everything together. It seems in this version they just sing like the 2 main themes.
I have a feeling that it *MIGHT* be pre-recorded, just that bit, or they used the original. Cuz I cannot imagine how hard it is... not just for the singers, but all the audio technicians in the back that have to manually adjust the audio. I do hope that I am wrong and it was 100% live

The Bruno’s character was first named Oscar but they changed to match the rhyme ‘no no’ and your lyric makes perfect sense 😂😂

The way the Oscars literally butchered this song… I will never get over that. That felt like straight disrespect because all we wanted was the cast to come on stage and sing alive version of the song in a musical fashion but noooo They had to add Megan Thee Stallion (I love her tho) and Becky G and some other dude for whatever reason.
the "other dude" was Maluma. A Spanish/Latiné artist.
The cast were the ones that butchered it lol. Those people cannot sing and shouldn't have gotten a performance.
