    maybe i'm crazy but i feel like this build would be super cool with rear steer, witch is a conversion that only costs $48.88 USD (if you by a stock front scx24 axle and emax servo from Amazon AND works with the stock receiver/remote if you use channel 3)

    By far the best build series.I believe I'd upgrade the steering servo next. And start thinking about planning out the interior with at least a driver. Depending on how many seats that it would have maybe consider a couple of passengers,once the lighting and everything else is completed.That motor upgrade was a smart move on your part.Looking forward to seeing it completed.

    I'd do servo, wheels and tires. And since Josh seems to think that everything you 3d print at home is free lol those nice boat sides you made are free so spend away on a servo and tires. Great build love how it's coming together.

    G'day Matt ol son!..... As iv watched the Explosion of the SCX24 platform over the last 2 yrs,.. I just cant help but be Gob-smacked, specially the aftermarket. From brass to anything 3D printed, its been a great platform to create on, and relativley cheap to do so. But Brushless is the way to go with these little buggers, as Josh has shown (tee hee) all that weight on the drive-train spells death to the poor 050 size motor. The increase and stable low end power on the ground is brilliant. Cheers to ya Matt me boy id say you got this in the bag....from ya m8..Downunder!!

    Looking good. As far as where would I put my money well that’s a very good question. I have the axial SCX24 Jeep & I’m almost out of upgrades. It’s a beast for such a small crawler. The Furitek lizard & motor made the biggest difference as far as performance. It’s the personal touches that make RC’s really stand out like yours. I’d love to tinker all day with RC’s if I could.

    Glad to see it only requires a little trimming to fit the Furitek motor with the Bowhouse LCG mount. I can’t wait to get my Furitek Lizard combo, I ordered it last week. Suggestions for $100. CR-24 shocks, EMaxx servo, and Injora beadlocks and tires. All that should be under $70 so that leaves around $30 for some ice cold beer!!

  • @JSAsher
    @JSAsher 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tires and wheels for sure, I can’t unsee the barrel nuts. I have had good success with the scrambler tires, the mudslingers are a flop on the larger size scx24 tires. I think I “auditioned” one of each set of Rc4wd tires except the bfgs and the Dirt grabbers. The SSD wheels are nice but may put you out of budget. So you’ll probably have to look to the spokes like Josh did or team raffee or powerhobby for a beadlock wheel choice. The raffee wheels are the heaviest wheel I have seen.

    For the money, I would have saved $40 and gone with a Barrage motor (on the Furitek ESC). If you wanted another step up, MOFO RC sells a "hotter" 050 motor (the TorqueBeast) for $20. Whatever money was left over would go toward better wheels and tires. Future budget would buy a servo ($9 Emax ES08MAII or $34 Torq CL0508), servo mount, and shocks. My favorite shocks are the CR-24 alloy shock, which can be easily adapted to the SCX24, have adjustable pre-load, 3.5mm more travel than stock, and are only $20. I run them on three of my SCX24's, including my Micro Shark.

    @Nickwillfixit 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sad to see you are going with the faux engine in the back, as it is a cab over so the engine would be unseen between driver and passenger oh well it is your build, the side plates would look better if they had front and rear extensions that slope from the end of the body and butted up to the boat sides, I think the side plates should be taller so the body is over them with a slider rail to protect the body edge.
    Love the body design and colour scheme would like to see a bit of painted detail on the cage and bed and a spare tyre instead of the motor, or remove the rear most bar and tyre mount as I think it is a bit goofy without a spare mounted there, looking forward to more of the bodget budget build with accounts done by fleecem & Scarper inc.
