He's such a cool character though. I need other characters brought up to him. He's what the others should be. His hype meter is so cool. I'm glad they made his defense weaker in this patch. Johnny's offense is really good, so he didn't need such powerful defensive tools. Buffs are what they should look toward. Rain is a prime example of what they should be doing. Peacemaker being trashed...good riddance. He's such a boring character to watch. Johnny at least isn't boring(except when every game in a tourney features him...)

The inconsistent combo scaling on subs 21 for airborne or grounded opponents leads me to believe that his 21 used to restand in development

Facts. he has a lot of plus frames but no reliable button to enforce it. A great change would be making his b224 string not have a gap.
@@Skidmarks117 I used to think that but the point of B22 is to reinforce the mixup of throw and low, if you already have conditioned them to block one or the other that is good, on the same side if they are conditioned to armor just do raw 22 since it's safe, it adds an extra mind game that is really the only that Havik has in his kit since none of his plus frames are threatening
Don't get me wrong yes this would be AWESOME, but I don't think this change really does as much as you think it would
@@vnquoctru Tbh I straight up do no use 22 unless they are in the corner or in corner combos (excluding Movado single launch combos that leave opponent point blank) the second hit is the only problem imo just make the hit region a little more forgiving
Tbh I always thought the problem with Peacemaker was the PUSHBACK of Eagley not Torpedo lmao..literally forward 4,1,2 into Eagley has been hard to punish forever

They just made it -15 eagly prepatch was only -4, so not punishable
It should be safe tbh they nerfed him too hard like all his strings are straight as besides 412 and they are trying to make it unsafe now nerf torpedo and anti gravity like they pretty much killed him his trash now

buff ideas, spread the word
Scorpion: should be buffed by making his amp ground tp a launcher again and make the cancel built in to both his regular and amp tp. buff the amp hellfire move by removing the damage over time and making it function like how it does in mkx allowing him to combo after hitting it. he needs new strings some mix ups(i personally want his mkx overhead back). some moves need to be sped up
Sub-zero: he needs his attack strings made slightly faster except for his overhead, he also needs 1 or 2 new attack string launchers, both his regular and amp iceball needs to be faster to not only be able to combo with it off of normal attack strings but in juggle combos too. He should have the ability to throw his ice clone, i also think he should have his ice burst special back with the same proporties as mkx to compliment his ice clone(but just does not send you that far away). lastly he needs some of his damage scailing off ground freeze.
Havoc: He needs at least five new attack strings, he needs his legacy move that titan havoc has were he takes off his head and rolls it but its a mid, has the same affect as reptiles acid ball, and also hits mid exploding on contact. he also needs another one of his legacy moves that again titan havoc has where he bends his hole body for a low projectile and the amp of that can be a knock down allowing for combo extentions for cameos like scorpion
Quan shi: needs his mind control move from mkx back, and make half his attack strings faster. and finally his low tentacle needs to be one bar
Raiden: change raiden's b2 back to the mkx launcher but make it as slow as sub'z b2. give him back his vicinity blast move back with the same properties as mkx. Give him back his mkx amp lightning projectile back for combo extentions but have his regular fully charged move have the same proportys as the amp. he also needs to be buffed by making his amp electrocute special launch no matter how many bars he uses
liu kang: for starters nerf his f4 one button pressure but give him his 113 mkx launcher back along with maybe 2 or 3 more new attack strings to make up for his pressure and to make it less braindead. make his low fireball slightly faster, change his air fireball to the mkx fireball and the amp the one we have now. give him back his mk 11 dragon parry, and finally make his fatal blow start up 2 hits but the first one restands
kung lao: nerf tf out of his wake up special by making it unsafe af on block. give him back his mkx or 9 spin back but have it have work the same as mk11 so he can use it more than two times in a combo. swap his dive kick now for a mix between his mkx or 9 dive kick. he needs his mkx tp, and his low hat back, but nerf his mix up buttion's he has now by making the overhead follow up slightly slower. give him his mk11 21212 attack string and his mkx 44 launcher attack string back. and also he needs his hat spin.
Nitara: buff her by making her command dash like homelander so for instance all of her normal attack strings that leaves her in the air cost no bar anymore to command dash and it cost no bar when she is in the air command dashing for combos but the next one after that does. and also make fer overhead that leaver her in the air slightly faster. she should also be able plus after hitting her bf2 special allowing her to cameo combo after it. lastly give her back her legacy projectile move back.
Reiko: give him his invasion boss special move, the one is like jades dead butterfly move from mk11 but it launches and he uses his spear(this is already in the game files btw). give this guy at least 1 more special move that involes his knife that's on his person but he never uses for some reason. he needs like 5 new normal attack stings involving his knife and his spear, maybe 2 of them be launchers.
smoke: give him his smoke cloud move back from mk9, along having it hit low but have the same start up as the one he got now. make his command dash special cancelable anywhere instead of just near yr opponent. also another command dash sending him backwards but the max distance is half screen but he can cancel it at any time during that animation too. and lastly make it easyer to do ground combos after his amp db 4 special.
Reptile: give him his acid pool amp special move back but make the amp the special and make the amp of that last longer along with his claw swipe move from mk x. give him 3 to 4 attack stings and have at least one be a launcher and at least 2 be for mixup followups. and lastly allow him to move after doing his forceball just a tad bit more almost like how mkx was but just not as broken
Li mei: 4 or 5 new attack strings, 2 a launchers 1 plus frame one, the rest strings into lows. she needs a new special that let's you command detonate her lantern with one fast motion, fast enuf to do it mid combo. change her base air overhead special hit reaction on airborne opponents, instead of a knockdown it leaves li mei grounded and the opponent in the air allowing for combos like how she could in 3d mk games. also give her back her overhead command special and the amp allow for ground combos. and lastly allow her to be able to combo with one amp projectile grounded and in the air.

As an okay Kitana player, I hardly use Square Wave. I probably should use it more often. Also, Mavado buff in any capacity makes me a happy camper.
i will say using her 11 string with db2 amp with kitana to punish things is always a good and easy combo with decent damage
Dont care about the torpedo too much only because you can still utilize it in between stuns or staggers either from command grabs or just using the gun shots. My biggest gripe is probably the forcefield that is slower now. Helps against fellow zoners when fighting so that move just became irrelevant if you can use it in time😂
Anti gravity is still pretty good though thankfully they didnt get too liberal with the subtraction of damage on that.
Havik player here, yeah it’s cool that it’s safe now for sure. but it can still be punished since there’s a gap within it. not the buffs i was hoping for, out of all characters havik should of had the most tweaks on this list. cause ppl are still able to low poke our B22 mid which makes no sense cause ain’t a mid supposed to counter a low? and high ??
Agree. B22 reflects the issue with Havik. His main key tool is slow (stuffable), has a huge gap for either options and without Mavado, you are always at a disadvantage since the opponent gets more from making the right guess (meanwhile Peacemaker gets a full combo from his command grab). It should get the 1 frame buff and it should crushes low pokes since he literally jumps up. Idk who thought of buffing s4, it is prob one of the most useless normals in this game.
They should make his command grab an actual special move like what they did to Cryomancer Subzero in MKX. Even then he'd be mid tier at best.

The Reptile buffs are excellent, now both his Zoning (mid-range and long-range) and mixups have become much better. Overall amazing patch!
I think making the down back eagly punishable is kinda bad. Without it peacemaker doesn't have many options on the block string side of things, and his normals are not the best either

As a peacemaker main I 100% agree the only thing I can really do to try and keep my block pressure is ex force field, and against certain characters that doesn't even work

IMHO Superman, Starfire, Deadshot and Pacemaker were staples of how fighting games should handle ranged characters.
@@kingol4801 I don’t have a prob with zoners, I just don’t like how some are handled. NRS tends to give zoners way too many tools and make them insanely powerful without giving the defensive tools a to counter them they should. Esp Peacemaket and Deadshot. Both have good range game which is perfectly fine, but both also have really good pressure tools up close that are completely safe. Range players should not be able to also bully you with pressure and be safe doing it, that’s just crazy lmao. Like the whole thing about zoners is you have to either halve a teleport or patiently work your way in which even though it’s annoying is part of playing against a zoner. But if I work my way in they should never then be able to bully me with safe pressure that goes good damage on top of that lol.

Khameleon is so dumb. Unlike the main fighters, no other kameo is on khameleon’s level. She literally has it all and her moves only cost half a bar with ridiculously fast cool down. She is the most brainless thing since pre nerfed cyrax. Like 95% of players I go against online use khameleon, she is so overused. She should have goro cooldown or full bar moves, preferably both. She gets double the amount of usage per round compared to other kameos and all her moves are actually good.
Some moves in the right direction. Still waiting for the Takeda patch.
Peacemaker and Johnny both deserved these nerfs and im glad they finally understood the real issues with both of them. People who say that characters should be just as broken as those 2 were do not understand how game balance works and should be disregarded lol, characters being just as broken doesn't make a game balanced it just makes it boring because it would STILL devolve into whose the best of the broken characters just like MK9 was

Makes me so sick how all these female fighters getting buffs yet Mileena was a DLC in 11 & low tier in this game. So much unsafe stuff for her no full screen projectile without using meter & up close she can be punished on every string.

I've seen so many people talking about this patch as if it's the biggest thing that game has done and it kind of is. They gave Johnny the nerfs that johnny should've had since day 1 AND they nerfed peacemaker. They nerfed the 2 characters who were safe on EVERYTHING...
Being safe on everything is good for the game. It makes the character robust and punishes people for trying to fight them head-on.

Totally agree with the johnny nerfs. I never understood why the best offensive character had the best defensive options as well.
Stryker as a kameo is boring in a sense i mean he had the guns that were used in combos in mk9 that would be really good
The most important thing is that the reward of a move should always match up to the risk the person using the move takes. Johnny's parry had too high a reward for very low risk in too many situations. I would prefer if they added more moves to the base roster and reduced on the power of Ambush Kameos or increase the cost of all ambush moves to both bars. (With moderately increased bar recharge.)

Having no risk and high reward is how the moves should feel in general.
Fighting games should be teaching morality. And that is, sometimes not fighting (inaction) is the best action in a situation.
Johnny was a good example of that. By choosing to fight him first, you are penalized.
You should only fight back when he messes up, not the other way around.
Li mei and Geras got mad buffs without needing it, Johny cage got a meaningless nerf, but sub zero and scorpion still can't get something decent. This is why the game has so little players remaining. Last nite Street fighter had 16k player on steam while mk has little over 1k. This is exactly why.

I disagree with Johnny and Peacemakers nerfs. Both of them are in dire need of buffs to the other aspects of their kit, so that they would not have to reply on the same thing over and over.
Also, Street Fighter? A fighting game without a block button is not a fighting game - it is eating sand game.
Same thing with shooter games that do not offer you invincibility options and parry to bullets.

As a blind player, force field was literally my ticket through all of the stupid survive challenges in invasions because it just nullified all of them, then they said no you have it too nice so now it only takes one hit, have fun.
