Heisenji Hakusan Shrine is a shrine located in Heisenji, Heisenji-cho, Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture. It is said that the mountain was founded in 717 by the Buddhist monk Taisho as a base for the Echizen Province side of the Hakusan faith, and later prospered as a subsidiary temple of Mt. Hiei Enryakuji (head temple of the Tendai sect), and until the separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the Meiji period, it became the Buddhist temple Reiozan Heisenji. was.
It is said to have been opened by Taicho in the first year of Yoro (717). After the Heian period, it came under the influence of Enryaku-ji Temple on Mt. Hiei, and became known as Heisen-ji Temple on Mt. It became a place where Yamabushi and warrior monks gathered as a base for Zenjodo (Echizen Baba/Bamba) on the Echizen side of the Hakusan faith.

平泉寺白山神社（へいせんじはくさんじんじゃ）は、福井県勝山市平泉寺町平泉寺に鎮座する神社です。白山信仰の越前国側の拠点として、仏教僧の泰澄により717年に開山されたと伝えられ、後に比叡山延暦寺（天台宗総本山）の末寺となって栄え、明治時代の神仏分離までは仏教寺院霊応山平泉寺でした。その歴史や出土品などは白山平泉寺歴史探遊館まほろばで展示紹介されています。
養老元年（717年）、泰澄によって開かれたといわれています。平安時代以降比叡山延暦寺の勢力下に入り、霊応山平泉寺として知られるようになり、豊原寺と双璧をなしました。白山信仰の越前側の禅定道の拠点（越前馬場・ばんば）として山伏・僧兵が集まるところとなりました。
