Does anyone else feel like he's just seeing what direction the foal is going to go, and then saying what he's doing so it sounds like he's commanding the foal?
I suspect that he brought her out just to see how she'd act. I don't think he had any actual performance for her. Now, Miley, is one of the horses you tend to see them using a fair bit during their Australian shows.
That's actually a very common training method with animals. When you see an animal doing something, throw out a command. Stay consistent and eventually they can learn that the command = the action they were doing.
Although I have done it, I was never very good at riding horses bareback! When it comes to horses, stirrups are the greatest thing ever!
