I'd like to see the Ad Naus - Manabond deck. I think explores and crop rotations would make it way more consistent, even if the color pips are weird with the only black card being Ad Naus. The mana rocks and urza's saga package would be interesting in that build, but probably not the direction to go for field of the dead things.

He said, "Ad Nauseam Lands," and my first thought was Manabond//FotD, even before he revealed the first decklist. I was disappointed when he decided to play this version.
I have been using The Black Gate in my Abzan Depths deck to get through blockers with Marit Lage. Plus the black mana helps over the colorless provided by Tower of Magistrate.
I watch a lot of legacy content, but I've never played, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, BUT... I absolutely would love to see Manabond + Ad Nauseam idea again but as a dedicated Field of the Dead deck not too dissimilar to "12 Mulch" idea, replacing Treasure Hunt with Ad Nauseam. The overall CMC of the deck is overall high, but perhaps the speed and power could compensate? Perhaps there's a super cheeky way to get some extra life without diluting anything. Also I think Field of the Dead and the Dark Depths combo just don't work all that well together. Urza's Saga backup? Uro if you're crazy? RADIANT FOUNTAIN LIFEGAIN?!?!?!

I am a lowly EDH/pauper player, and I may not know anything about anything. However: I think that this deck is trying to do too much. It's an Ad-Naus deck, AND an urza's saga deck, AND a Dark Depth's deck. I think that if you want to play an Ad Naus deck, it can definitely work, it just needs to be a bit more synergistic. The urza's saga package barely helps the Dark Depths wincon (grabbing a map is kinda slow). I think you were on to something with the Ad-Naus manabond field of the dead deck. All of your fast mana helps your Ursa's Saga, your Sagas can grab more mana for an Ad Naus, and your Ad Naus can let you Timmy windmill slam your hand on the battlefield with mana bond. This would free up slots, as you don't really need Pithing Needle, for things like rituals or Summer Blooms when you do Ad Naus. Tl;dr: the Dark Depths package is too unsynnergistic with the rest of the deck
I saw a recent lands list in vintage on boshes side and land of the dead just lines up better against what cards people have in their decks. Mulch and manabond and having 7 names is quite an investment, i wonder if there are land names that can be snuck in especially given the new ixalan set. I just wonder if field can be made just a tiny bit more busted then it is or add some more non land variety too it. Actually how does it work with manabond throwing in double face lands? You can't choose the side right?
I think a more interesting way (at least to me) to build the deck is going more the stormy way. I would entirely cut green and play LED + infernal tutor + dark ritual + beseech. I would cut on thespian stages (keeping only 1), maps, pithing needles and urza saga to make space. Adding some discard is necessary, like 6 copy There is probably enough space to splash blue and get 4 braistorm, maybe some ponder to round up the list but it goes against the spirit i think So yeah, basically monoblack ad nauseam beseech with the dark depth combo
The correct move might have been to vampire hexmage seasoned dungeoneer? It possibly buys you an extra turn, but you still lose that game 100% of the time I think.
Phil, you really dropped the ball on the original idea. The whole idea was to draw a bunch of lands, put them into play, and make a ton of zombies in the event your 20/20 cant make contact. Everyones seen turbo depths.

There was no place in this league where the ad naus was both good and castable in this deck, this was not a good iteration of the prompt.
There has to be room in here for 1-2 manabond for the turns you get to ad nause in end step
