This song has an extremely original way of narrating sad feelings. It sure is my fav song nowadays.
The sadness, overthinking, and how the music swells to possibly mimic the chaos of anxiety and overwhelming thoughts of insecurity, loneliness and doom. Just perfection.

This song is sad and the movie was sad the ending of a ghost story was so happy
The ending wasn’t necessarily happy. What it really meant was that it really didn’t matter what she wrote on the letter. Nothing really truly mattered, and the ghost finally accepted it. Knowing what was written on that note didn’t truly matter, so he realized this and left the world. I’m not sure if that’s sad or not, but I don’t think that’s happy either
@@LaCasadelTaichoro I disagree since the ghost finally found closure on what he is finding before being ready to move on. A lot of people also wanted to know what was in the note but the director said even if they can come up with anything, it will not satisfy the viewers because that note was an intimate understanding between the couple only. There was an even awesome explanation WHY only then did he touch the note, the director said there are certain emotions the ghost must have before being able to cause movement in the physical world--and only at that end when the ghost traveled centuries did he had the ability to touch the note and finally move on.

It's not necessary happy. He's on a time loop. He's watching himself, a much "younger" ghost. He can't really feel or remember love anymore, I think that's the sad part. But it also sets him free.
