I cook for my daughter on Monday’s. I make 3 full meals. She works 10 hour days n has 3 daughters. Home by 5:30, homework, baths, n then bed doesn’t leave much time for cooking! So I cook! This Monday I made big pot of beef tips gravy, rice, corn on cob, steamed broccoli for them to eat on this week! I just made n put in freezer for next week. I will be gone on vacation! Your baked Ziti recipe and a cottage pie! Friday I will make spaghetti for oldest daughter so it will be fresh! Does not like frozen spaghetti 🤷♀️ I’m Mimi what else can I say 🥰
Angelica, I made your ravioli with the marinara sauce. I used my own canned marinara sauce and I used spinach ravioli oh my goodness this was a great recipe. Thank you very much for it. I only bought extra large raviolis and there are like six of them in a bag which I couldn’t have because I can’t eat that much of them and I laid them in a little tiny little baking dish. Oh my goodness it was delicious. I have enough for four more servings. Thank you very much. Keep up these great recipes
I have never done the baked Ziti. Thank you for the beautiful and helpful presentation. I also truly like the casserole dish you used for the Ziti. Is it a set and where can I get one. Thanks a million.
Thank you for the 3 ingredient pasta bake recipe. My grandson love ravioli but I noticed that he's not so fond of it like he use to, so putting a different spin on it is what I know he will love.
I been making this before it apparently became popular, done it though in a double layer, in the baking dish though! If the Ravioli is a a meat filled, ravioli, you add a double layer of ricotta to the mix, because, if you use a cheese ravioli and a meat sauce, it’s kind of supposed to be a easy quick take on lasagna to begin with.
This could easily work with chicken or turkey, or grilled fajita meat, beef or chicken fajita meat from the store or homemade. This recipe might work with canned or pouch tuna and Alfredo sauce, maybe adjust the spices for fish/seafood. (I'd have to test that tuna idea, but it might work.) Another commenter suggested a little basil peso added, which would work.An appetizer or side of artichoke hearts (can/jar) would go with this variations. One or two on the side. It gives a little more veggie in a taste combo that goes with the main dish.
I haven't searched, but for some reason, now I'm thinking of stuffed bell peppers (Anglo style), or stuffed poblano peppers or chiles rellenos. Mmm. (Personally, I go for mild, but my mom would've wanted to add hot chiles / jalapeños for hers.) -- Whenever my mom made homemade spaghetti sauce, mom always added Tabasco sauce and jalapeños to her serving. ;) Hmm, now I'm wondering if I added a can of Ro-Tel tomatoes ad green chiles, mild, for that homemade spaghetti sauce...ooh, I think that'd work! People who like it hot could get hot, others could get mild. For a pot of sauce, esp. meat sauce, the mild would be plenty mild for most people. You'd want to test a batch if you used the hot can, and might have to tone it down if that's too hot for some of the family. It might be too much for me, it depends. I don't think Italian cooks would object too strongly to a dollop of sour cream if the chiles make it too hot. Wow, tangent....)
looks yummy........ i could make this but i would be eating it for days as i live alone....... i buy the tortellini's in the bag and it lasted me 4-5 meals so i use what i need and throw them back in the freezer lol
hahaha, I had to do a double take, wondering if it was one of the stray cats outside, since it wasn't my two cats inside. :D cats are cool. as much good cooking as you do, no wonder your cat wants in! :D
A little chopped bell pepper, tricolor, would be nice for that spaghetti bake. Not a whole lot, but enough to sneak in some veggies for the kid-unit and parental-units. ;)
Fresh nutmeg i buy the mexican bagged nutmeg because it is the same nutmeg sold in expensive brand name jars compare $1.25 to $8.99 . Once you use fresh nutmeg or fresh ginger you never go back.
Simply delicious!! Made the first one with the Rana pasta. It was so wonderful!!!!! Thank you for your simple, fast and easy recipes! I forgot how good pasta baked in the oven can be!! Love your channel and you!!! God Bless.
Never, ever feel as though you you have to apologize for what you do or dont do. Nothing gives a complete stranger the right to tell you what to do when cooking for your family.
Thank you for the great idea of the frozen pasta bake… not only will it be an easy dinner fix for me BUT my daughter is three years from moving out on her own to college so definitely going to show her this recipe! 😊 ALSO… I just wanted to let you know that I purchased your book “Simply Mama Cooks” as part of a wedding gift to my nephew and his new bride. I think it’s perfect because your recipes are so easy to follow, especially your Mexican food dishes, because in our culture you know it’s hard to learn and follow recipes b/c our elders do not use measurements… just a pinch of this and a dash of that so it’s really hard to learn that way. I know they will really enjoy your book!! 🍽💗
I did something very similar to this but I used frozen tortellini, then I bused a frozen bag of fajita chicken meat, then some Alfredo sauce with a couple of heaping tablespoons of pesto mixed in. Mixed it all together and bake it at 350 for about 40-45 minutes ( with cheese on top) it’s yummy and an easy Sunday dinner.
This video came just at the right time when I'm trying to find easy stuff for my family to make that still is delicious. Pop a salad on the side of any of these and what a great dinner plan for weeknights. Thank you!
You can’t go wrong with pasta. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood and learned the best of the best including my mother’s cooking. It’s so satisfying. Love these pasta casseroles. When not making my homemade sauce/gravy I love RAO brand!

You are a wonderful cook I'm moving in I'll leave my family lol 😆
*May I suggest with any three meat sauces a Mexican twist by adding red pinto beans and chili powder...* 😍👍
Seriously, I’m not kidding. Can you adopt me? I’m 35 and in California..
