    And! I wanted to add that I am using the seaweed and Also your aloe vera treatment!! And I can say i have seen unbelievable amounts of growth especially roots. Even on my oncidiums that I rescued from a tree that was being cut down . I expected them to die because their roots got DESTROYED butttt I was using aloe AND seaweed every single day for a few months and even the OLDEST psuedobulbs have been pushing out new roots! Its beautiful. To me theres nothing better than watching a sick or damaged orchid come back to life!! Thanks 4 the aloe suggestion!!!

    You missed a growth on the second one. (@4:31 you're counting the second growth and one is literally right in front of your finger) 😉 I'll be interested to see if they grow from seed.

      @PictureMaria1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael McCarthy REALLY!!! Leave it to me to miss something that is right in front of my face! 😂 I’m glad it wasn’t a poisonous snake or this would’ve been a whole different type of video! LMBO!!! I am curious to see if it is also possible to grow from seeds. Perhaps I should spread them in a pot filled with soil to try to give it a better chance... I’ll do both and keep my fingers crossed!🤞

    Maria, I am going into month 3 as an orchid owner. I am only buying plants that are reduced so not all are in the best shape. I'm looking at it this way, if I can keep them alive, and hopefully bloom, I'll do better in the long run. I have watched videos from many different orchid lovers but you explain what I need in a way my old brain understands. Could you tell me if any of your previous videos address;
    Soil
    Potting medium(s) best for
    different orchid types
    Reference book w/color photos
    Rain water versus distilled
    What zone are you in

    Picked up a dancing ladies orchid yesterday but I was hoping to find a dendrobium but the safeway I went to didn't have em' like another one did. Gonna go to my local orchid society and see if I can find good deals and treasures c:💖💕. Really want a neofinetia/vanda falcata :)💗💞 .

      @PictureMaria1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I did leave the oncidium family out...they are pretty easy orchids to grow as well...so good deal! ...and orchid society's usually do have some wonderful orchid surprises! I am hoping you find orchid wealth beyond measure! HAPPY GROWING!

    Hi Maria. As soon as I saw this video I did run to take a look at mine and it has what it looks like a keiki!! What do I do to propagate them?

  • @gamertag4253
    @gamertag4253 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Maria what do you use to fertilize your bromeliads I barely got one today and I do not know if I will do good with it, it has 5 pups though.

    • @PictureMaria1
      @PictureMaria1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am currently using my homemade fertilizers and supplements as I indicated in the video, and I am using it on all of my orchids and plants throughout my garden. I use it at a vert weak dose but more on a regular basis rather than monthly. Now bromeliads can use the same fertilizers that you are feeding your orchid as they grow and behave much the same way as an orchid. That is the easiest route to fertilizing a bromeliad if you are into convenience. CONGRATULATIONS on your bromeliad find...and 5 pups...that's going to be an amazing showcases of beautiful bromeliads! YAAAAAAAAY!

      @gamertag4253 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      MY Orchid Adventures thank you Maria for the help the bromeliad cost 10.00 but I think it was worth the save because it had 5 pups.😀

      I have another question Maria can you use hose water for guzmanias.

    • @PictureMaria1
      @PictureMaria1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gamertag4253 I actually don't have any guzmanias yet...but I don't see why not...I water mine on all sorts of varieties including tilandsias. I would try it on one for a while and see how it does before you water the rest of your guzmanias with them.

    Hi maria are you still using the slow release fertilizer is that osmocote can you make a video review about that?

    • @PictureMaria1
      @PictureMaria1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HELLO THERE! I used the slow release fertilizer for about 3 years and had several reviews and updates on them... I think you can find them in my vandas playlist. I will try to find the videos on them as well. Also I had amazing results with it and my vandas bloomed like crazy and were very healthy. I currently switched my fertilizing method to the all natural homemade fertilizing method and believe it or not have gotten better results with all of my orchids. Of course this is my first year doing it so we’ll see if the tremendous progress continues. Thanks so much for joining me on my orchid adventures! I am wishing you the absolute best in your orchid adventures! :)
