I love how this movie starts with Easter and ends at Easter. It speaks to seasons…Spring is when everything blossoms and opens up. It’s proof after a long winter, life does go on.
Such a touching, sweet, funny end to the movie. Everything is just right. The outrageously outfitted, yet elegant and innocent Easter egg hunt; the kids; the way they all react to the sudden labour; the way the men scramble with their transports; and the way we're slowly pulled out from the whole thing through the aerial shot. Just fantastic.

I am a combat veteran and this is supposed to be a woman's picture. Nuts! It is great and kudos to Parton, Field, MacLaine, Dukakis, McDermott, Roberts.
@@heidirourke2259 I know that as well. I lost my mom to cancer 3 years ago and I miss her everyday. Then 4 months later my brother texted me and announced he's going to be a father again, a son. My mom always wanted another grandson. My sister has a son and daughter, and my brother has 3 girls. It was the happiest day of my life, my heart was pounding, I called people, and I was cheering knowing my mom is happy about the news, I know she knows. That angel boy was born the following April. Like it says, one life goes and another one comes along. I felt so blessed and I hope I'll get to meet him one day and tell him all about his amazing grandmother. Now a piece of my mom lives on in him 🕊️👶👵💚
@@BombatronProductions I know no one really likes the 2012 remake (although I kinda like it) but the remake said she would name the baby Shelby whether it was a girl or a boy.
Anyone noticed how Annelles hair is permed. Even a cosmetologist like her should know that you shouldnt get perms when your pregnant only because of the harmful chemicals.

Damn you. This comment made me cry even harder. So true.
Also the movie started off with Annelle and ended with her too
One of the most beautiful bittersweet endings. One life ends, another begins❤️
@Ashlee Newsome There was a remake?! 🤦🏻♀️
Yup! Love this movie!
@Ashlee Newsome I agree
@Ashlee Newsome pl
I love this movie. I cry every time seeing Jack Jr run to M’Lynn. Sally Field did an amazing job in this movie. They all did!

Me too ,especially when shelby's baby cries while she's lying on the floor.It's so heartwrenching I can't cope
I love this movie. I always cry at the ending
@@antonellaleiva3607 yes Lord. Me too
Its interesting that the movie begins with Annelle coming to town and ends with her giving birth.
And how Shelby's one nice deed of inviting her to her wedding made it possible for Annelle to meet Sammy
The way Shirley Maclaine yells OH MY GOD always cracks me up 😄
An amazing movie from start to finish! A truly underrated classic ❤️
I agreed
Not so much underrated. My mum loved it. So do I.

Well, it was written by a really great man
Same here
The way they all panic is so not helpful for a mother going into labour but also super hilarious! 😂
it is cute
I always cry at this scene. What remember steel magnolias my grandma and grampa lost both daughters one was my mom

Imagine the looks on the doctor’s face when the Easter bunny arrives on a motorcycle 😂
oh gosh just shocking
Rip lympia Dukakis.. One life ended and one began.
One of the most finest movies ever made
"For Susan, from Bob." Snif.
The circle of life, when one life ends a new one begins.
i really wish they would of shown if annelle had a boy or a girl.
I think either way...the baby would be named Shelby hence why they didn't show
@@citydweller99 They said they would only call it Shelby if it was a girl. It definitely was.

When one life ends another begins.
This was such a beautiful story and the inspiration for it is absolutely touching.
How does Dolly run in them heels; let alone crawl up in an old Scout so easily???
she is a lovely woman and she can do anything
Because she's Dolly goddamn Parton, that's how.
0:38 *OH MY GOD!!!!* She's gonna have a baby! Go get a doctor!
I love how both Marshall and Jackson helped Annelle get into the truck! Such sweet gentlemen!
I would love to have friends like the Steel Magnolias...
Hermoso final. Simplemente: La vida sigue.
I really, REALLY want to see the admitting nurse's face. :-)

It’s a very pretty city 🌃 It looks like it’s in North Carolina

it’s come on, sammy!
It would be great if shelby son jack jr end up with annelle daughter shelby if this baby's a girl?
You know I think of the same thing and I believe Annelle's child was born a girl
