This is my absolute favourite song from the album. Dougie absolutely suits this kind of song, and I'm so glad he's been able to come out of the shadows for this album. But you know this means we need more vocals now!

@raonimm my son listened to some of the album and said he needs to be in Blink 182 or something. His vocals are so suited to that type of music, and I am so in love with this song and with his voice. The ones I've listened to most on this album (apart from "God" and "Guitars" bc they were the first songs released) are all Dougie songs. He needs a solo album at some point bc he's an absolute star.

From the blink-182 part, yeah, he has already composed a song with Mark Hoppus on vocals... Such a sweet blink-182 vibe, it's called "Growing Up" go check it out.. I love blink-182 too! They're amazing!
Anyway, feels like this song came exactly when I just felt the same f**ed up way.. Dougie and me, and people like us are so much better than messed up people, better tell you the truth... the ones who hurt ones the most are the ones which will suffer harder

Oh Dougie. Reading the book and realising what these lyrics mean is, well, fucking heartbreaking. I have cried many times thinking that Mcfly wouldn't exist anymore if they didn't make it through their internal battles. Through the glam and parties, they were all secretly struggling. I used to listen to this song being upset about my own mental health demons, now I think about how Dougie OD'd on Valium, Tom suffers from BPD, and Harry and Danny's anxiety disorders. I've only listened to you for a year but I've been to your show at Port Eliot and screamed and cried out every word, memorised all of your lyrics and discovered secret demos, and researched so much about this band, almost too much. This band saved my life. thank you boys.
