That magical night of Friday 15 September 2000 at the Sydney Olympic Stadium was the greatest of my life so far... My mother Vivien, her sister Georgina Mayson, her daughter Joanne Mayson (my first cousin) and John Golfin sang at the Openining Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. We were blessed to be part of the 80-person "The Millenium Choir of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia" and sang the Olympic Anthem in Ancient Greek at the raising of the Olympic Flag for only the second time since the start of the modern games in 1896 in Athens. The greatest show on Earth and we were in it !!!
