Never get tired of the smell of cutting a cedar and the old growth aged cedar that’s been down or stump, and ones that have been burned by a forest fire. We have an old growth cedar that was hallowed out by a forest fire long time ago, it’s caged out still tall and spiney. Some people that get a Christmas 🎄 tree from our farm will go up and take pictures with themselves in it. It’s a beautiful natures art.
I can't believe how well those banded cedars hold together. I truly believe they should probably be doing that on most of those large cedars. It definitely seems too help. I know, it never feels good to drop a nice living tree, only to watch it shatter to pieces. Always a pleasure to watch your work man
Devils club makes a great file handle , choose a stick large enough to be comfortable in your hand , it has to be a live plant . Peal the bark off and press the file into it , it becomes permanent once it drys the file will never separate from the handle . 👍🇨🇦
Man, I would have a tough time actually doing the job in that location. I'd spend more time just sitting and looking around than cutting trees! Guess I'll just live vicariously through you for now :D
I wonder if that huge Cedar would have split as much if it had been strapped a little ways up from the base? Is strapping a tree ever done higher up on the trunk? Another awesone vid, I love your job!
We got beautiful perspective on how big that tree was when you were bucking it. First view as you filmed above the tree then when you stood beside it it made you look tiny in comparison! Nice episode Bjarne. Finesse your boss(es) who are limiting your episode length (assuming) if necessary :)
Seems like bucking cedar can be more dangerous than felling the tree, although felling is also dangerous, so be safe. Great videos and fantastic scenery.
Soon 70000 subscribers, that will be great for you, your cutting wife and all the great Stuff what you offer to us… just an Idea for the 70000, felling an 8 footer with you and a few bears, sorry beers 🍺 take care, respectfully from Luxembourg 🇱🇺 europe, 40% of forest
beers and felling do not mix. not when it is the same person for both, unless the felling is completed before the beers. A few beers after a day of felling some whoppers before hitting the hay to do it again might be ok, if the camp allows and you have not gotten even slightly tipsy.to dangerous to mix the two.
Hey there Bjarne, looks like you are getting a lot of dust in your face, if you can get some of those 3m single ply dust masks like I used when doing body work, you could probably breathe a lot easier, all that saw dust can't be good for your lungs......k
Surely enjoy your videos. The side comments, scenery shots and your interests in the overall landscape really adds to the presentations. Thank you.
Hi Bjarne, thanks for the vids, I find them fascinating. Just a different life really. I'm in Scotland.

The scene at 21:56 is iconic. Your cinematographic talent is excellent.
You have a tough job mate but you still manage to keep that sense of humour you are a top man cobber from Australia.

Damn Bjarne !! I think I got sawdust in my ears 😀 Thanks for taking us to work
Another cracking video, three of your power wedges are now sitting in my shed ready for the next job on a west of Scotland island, thanks 🙂
Always a great time watching you work stay safe 🙏
That must be quite a thrill when the really big ones creak and pop for quite some time before they topple...
The leaner, the yellow cedar,, excellent, excellent. Its the tough ones that show the skill.
The last tree was pretty cool listening to it.
Such a pissoff when you’re fighting a bar that’s binding lol
Great movie 🎥 as always Bjarne ✊

I’ve lived in the Coastal Mountains my whole life , after a while you forget how stunning the scenery is . 👍🇨🇦
Thank you.
You are The Man
Your really good Always watch to get me going ty PS So much more enjoyable the hear a 392 screaming instead of 091 barking, love those rpms
Just an FYI, he's running one of our 592xp's that's been "Walkerized"...and yes, it sounds nice, stock or not.
Hey nice video lots of love from Nepal
Respect
When the wind is blowing at you like that, would it be a sin for to cut a conventional notch? Ha just asking. 😊
Yep that one handed axe swinging made my wrist hurt.
what are the three straps around the tree for? I see them on several of your videos.
It’s so the tree doesn’t split when the hit the ground. Cedars that big are usually hollow.
Amazing, Jack, RI, USA
What is the biggest tree ou ever took down just wondering 🤔
15x11ft cedar with an 8th hole. 12ft cedar was the largest solid tree
very big tree
what plants have thorns?
Devils club

Hello Bjarne
Strongly dislike Devils Club, and Vine Maple. Used to cut on the Olympic Peninsula.
Bjarne, that was a sketchy bore cut, starting with the kickback zone. Just want you to be safe out there. Love your channel.
What i see,not much big tree in this channel but if find big one it always oversize.....
😅😅😅
Why do they call it a cats face?
👋🏼
Tambem estou na luta hoje, serrando umas réguas pra fazer porteira.
Dust blowing in face . that's got to suck. In your eyes. Takecare

More absolute 💯 destruction the death of a forest
Its a shame we cant just starrt growingindustrial hemp again instead of wrecking these beutiful forests. just pointless
This guy sounds like he is related to Buckin Billy Ray...
Buckin who? 🤣
