- This program shows how to make things appear floating in studio photography.
I show how to make a coloured graduated background with just grey card, a studio flash, and a small gel.
Studio lighting techniques will be explained so you can have a go at the examples shown.
All images will be captured from the DSLR tethered with Capture One software, then how to combine separate foreground and background images in Adobe Photoshop.
You are such a good teacher. And no background music!
Thank you
thank you for this informative knowledge, i must say the pace of each step and very comfortable to follow.each step is broken down for easier understanding!
Glad it was helpful!
As always ver informative show prof. I just love to see how you approach a shot on these live studio shoots, thanks and keep them coming
you are welcome.
Thank you so much for these very descriptive videos! Can you show how we do close-up videography?
I will be doing a video all about close up photography. The techniques will be equally valid for videography. Thanks for watching.
This is very instructive to watch. However, there is such a large amount of kit here (lights, stands, etc) and space to have your computer and monitor in the (large) studio. Obviously working tethered is a huge advantage.
My problems with trying to emulate this technique are (a) only one LED light (b) no large studio (c) I can tether my DSLR to my computer but then no space, an alternative could be to tether to Lightroom running on an iPad.
I’d like to see something with a more minimal setup that I’d have a chance of trying to put into practice.
Some of my other videos show tabletop, photography, where you only need the space of a table. The techniques demonstrated in this video are relevant regardless of the equipment used. Thanks for watching.
Respectfully, "Professor", what if you combined both: lightmeter and trials via tethering? Would you reduce the number of trials? Thank you for the tutorials.
I have started experimenting with TTL to reduce the number of trials. Keep watching future videos to see how I got on. Thanks for watching.
Love your videos. Which model of Manfroto tripod and head are you using?
Manfrotto 475B Tripod with a 410 geared head.
Why do keep your and gear so low ?
Thank you for watching and helping take my channel over 10k subscribers.
